Trying hard to not sound like some right-wing cry more freakshow and maybe I’m just using the community microblogging site incorrectly but the blocking culture here is so motherfucking sensitive and juvenile. Please understand that when you’re tagging things in a non-unique, searchable way that you are no longer in your house but you are in the town square with a bell. Please gain the strength to deal with seeing something you do not 100% agree with on your bulletin board of a post. Understand than I’m bringing that flyer into my house to yell about it and I’m not sorry you might have to hear it, neighbor, because you set it out for the community to do so. You also created an opportunity for someone who might agree with that yelling to come join in, which is neat! Please understand that when it comes to fandom content on this site that often the interest is in the thing being shared moreso than the poster sharing it so a tag you passively disagree with should not be some punishable personal attack. There’s always lines and nuance and harassment but if you remove every harmless differing rumination from your existence what are you getting? Because all I get is being too afraid to interact with any post with any sort of critical, personal thought out of fear of being blocked from the curated town square.
