I love Homestuck and also overanalyzing things

here we have him both protecting john through time and protecting the path of the alpha timeline

he also protects his all friends from being unprepared for having less than 24 hours before the reckoning by utilizing time travel to serve everyone in the session and doing the most legwork. he claims to have experienced about 3 days total playing sburb whereas it took 1 day linearly. he had to assist jade with frog breeding through time travel since the beta kids were short on time, literally helping her plant the seeds for next universe they will escape from the game to. hes very considerate of protecting time itself, the duty of following through in timeloops. literally committing to the bit even if it would kill him

Hey I love hearing about other people’s HCs, even if they don’t fit mine! :D Symmetry is always a good thing to go for, but I also personally find it a bit restrictive, a lot of people have come asking if uneven Player Sessions are even possible, based on the idea of always needing a balanced team, so I like when things end up a liiiiittle bit uneven.

Incidentally, this is also the case for the trolls, and their division into red and blue teams.

The red team has a Knight, a Page, a Seer, a Sylph, a Bard, and a Thief, which adds up to four Passive classes and two Active classes, and since Tavros and Karkat are on the same team this holds true whichever way you spin the butler roulette.

I found it, and can confirm this is the most amazing information I have ever been given in my entire life. 

I definitely think it’s sad, though, that so many of the responses are people relieved/gleeful that she’s finally gone. How toxic of a person do you have to be that the majority of responses to your leaving post is “oh thank fuck”, and not “we’ll miss you”? 

There’s a lot of people being hopeful that the comic will improve now that she’s stepping down. And I admit, I’m in that boat, too - if removing her toxicity from the comic helps to make it better, to eek out the transphobia and the abuse apologism and the victim blaming, then holy shit I might just actually get back into it again and enjoy the damn story they’re trying to tell.

Claiming that no male characters in Homestuck are victims (completely ignoring Dave, a literal abuse victim, and Tavros, also an abuse victim)

Claiming that Vriska has never done anything wrong despite quite literally being the reason that Tavros is paralysed, Aradia is dead, and Terezi is blind

For some reason, making the Tavris meltdown about Vriska being a transwoman, despite Vriska not being coded trans at that point and the clear intent of it to be Vriska being so disgusted that she’s merged with Tavros that she’d rather die

Calling someone who pointed out the hypocracy of Vriska later prototyping Tavros and GCAT a transphobe

Having actually really terrible takes on what is or isn’t transphobia, and seemingly deciding that transmen/masc-aligned enbies aren’t actually people

Carrying on from this: Deeply transphobic, actually, which is highly ironic.

Claiming that June Egbert can be a “bi lesbian”, thereby showing that she actually cares about representation about as much as she cares about men

Claiming that we, as a fandom, need to grow the fuck up because deserve nothing we do not create, and outright stating that she’s writing HS^2 in the most upsetting way possible as a result of this ideology

Refusing to understand that her childish actions are childish because she’s a grownass woman (apparently, being one of the youngest on the HS^2 team justifies her attacking literal minors)

Somehow not understanding why people were upset with dogdick Jade (being a transwoman, you’d think she’d recognise the inherent transphobia in seeing a cis woman being given a dog penis)

For some reason, claiming that an actual, real life, living transwoman is cis, like some form of conspiracy - again, despite being a transwoman herself

And the list goeth on! I am, to say the least, fucking disgusted and infuriated that these are the sort of people writing Homestuck^2. Bitter, violent, phobic, outright antagonistic people with no care for the origins of the comic and no care for the fandom that helped forge it. 

a good example for a “waste of time” would be the page where you have to listen to the clapping for caliborns performance end. Hussie being a Waste of Space actually fits rather well for him in the comic, because pretty much every appearance he makes has no actual plot relevancy or importance, pretty much just existing to waste the readers time, having them listen to hussie instead of actually progressing the comics plot.I feel like Waste would absolutely work as a regular non-joke class (2/2)

If Light is Truth, Relevancy and Good Fortune, then it makes sense for obtuse, constraining and arbitrary societal norms and systems would fall under the realm of Void. Equius is a Heir, one easily influenced and Changed, and potentially Consumed by their Aspect, and he allows the Hemospectrum to shape a great deal of his ideals, not knowing how to otherwise parse his persona. Similarly, Horuss, a Page of Void, Serves Himself Void in becoming the perfect societal blank slate of a Blueblood in Beforus, until he can’t take anymore and realizes that persona is just not for him. And Roxy, a Rogue, a Class well known for abstracting themselves from reality through their Aspect, fantasizes about “last man and woman on Earth” scenarios with Dirk, pushily questions him about the possibility of how ‘their kids would look like’, even despite the fact she knows he’s gay, because she’s drunk and depressed and kind of trying to find solace in something she’s attached herself to from the Old World before the Flood.

The thing about Calliope is that she is Good. But she is not… Personal kind of Good. She’s not someone who will go out of her way to help someone that fell down the stairs and has a bleeding nose. She’s a “God” kind of Good. She’s Above things, she sees the Big Picture, and is not concerned by petty mortal things like ‘Emotions’ and ‘Attachments’. She will do anything in order to fulfill her purpose and take down what she perceives to be an evil threat, even if in the process she abandons a Timeline in the midst of war, and possesses a girl whose friends are extremely concerned and worried for.

She is, also, less impartial than she says she is. She is actually petty when arguing with Dirk, and favors things such as the Trickster Lollipop despite it being bad for Humans. Biases that show through her otherwise Flawless facade and, ironically, ‘humanize’ her more, but that goes exactly against the kind of person she’s attempting to be.
