Towering thirty feet high in the Nevada desert, Ugo Rondinone’s massive land art installation, Seven Magic Mountains, is a stunning, fluorescent meditation on the relationship between humans and their environment. More than two hundred backers rallied behind this monumental work — one of the largest land art installations of the past forty years.

This 1820s depiction of the street Unter den Linden in Berlin as a panorama is a total of 25 feet long. It’s housed in a cylindrical container with the Brandenburg Gate on the front.

Sand Bubbler Crab. (Moon Fish)

Okay, this is the coolest crab of all time. OF ALL TIME. They spend their little lives scouring the sand for food. But the way they do it, leaves the formation of hundreds of small sand balls, or inflated pellets rather.

The crabs work radially from the entrance to their burrow, which they re-enter as the tide rises and destroys these pellets. GIF
