Man oh man! I have fallen behind on posting stuff. I have a lot of Wander goodies coming:)
The Rager is one of my favorite episodes of season 2. Masterfully storyboarded by Riccardo Durante, hilariously written by Nate Federman and Craig McCracken, and directed by me! Special shout out to Justin Nichols for some amazing animation in this episode (The thumbs up âOh Yeahâ scene and the why didnât they invite meeeeee!???!!).
Hater is one of my favorite cartoon characters I have ever worked with, he is sooo much fun to draw and direct! His reads (preformed by Keith Ferguson) are always a joy to draw to. (I still canât believe he was Bloo)
Here presented to you are some of the scenes I posed out. First up Hater is trying to very hard to convince everyone he is deposed king Lord âShmaterâ I tried to make is actions as big and awkward as possible, as if in his head heâs thinking shitshitshitshitshitshitshitaretheybuyingthis?
Next up are a couple of scenes that were cut for time, which is a shame,I love King Shmater! Originally Wander tells Schmater the party has to stop because they are set to destroyed in the morning. Everyone walks back into their cells and Shmater runs after them screaming âBut I just got here!â He slumps down sad. Wander smiles to the rest of the kings and heâŚ.
Everyone cheers and runs to the door, but the forcefield is blocking the door!
Shmater throws his crown at the forcefield and sneakily clicks his remote. ThenâŚ.
Everyone gives a knowing look to Wander and cheer.
