We currently work closely with two small factories in Nepal who make all our cashmere pieces. Following the earthquake in Nepal last week we have received an update from our main factory in Nepal. We have heard that one employee died during the earthquake. Our thoughts are with her family and friends. #nepal #nepalappeal

The situation in Kathmandu now is calmer. Strong aftershocks have stopped since yesterday. People have started returning to their homes. We were sleeping in our Car for fear of the After shock. From today we will sleep indoors.

In Kathmandu more than half the population are from other parts of Nepal. So it seems most of them have already left or are leaving. So from now the relief will be focused - to other parts of the country. Especially districts around Kathmandu, which were more badly hit. And are more remote.
It seems the Country is overwhelmed by Help from the International community. So much help is coming in. That the Government itself, is not able to manage what is received. I have heard strong Criticism of the Government - and that they were non existent or very ineffectual until now. But it is hard to say much now.

In the next 10 - 15 days we will have completed cleaning and restoring our factory. So that all our work will fully resume. We will initially do it in a Makeshift manner. In the months to come - we will slowly build a new stronger foundation for the long term.
Currently, we are supporting all our Employees. All of us want to get back to work as soon as possible. Most of them have lost or damaged their homes badly. Most of our Workers come from Villages in and around our factory. Their homes were without concrete structures.
Please keep us and our Country in our Prayers. "
