Ok so I’m a big believer in the painted Dessendre’s being their own people and having slightly different traits than the Dessendre’s they are based on but. I just want to point out that painted Clea literally kills herself rather than even risk hurting her little brother. She so desperately wants to hold Verso’s hand again but as soon as she feels herself loosing control she completely stops the interaction and decides to end herself. For Verso’s sake.

All those poetic lines Sheik drops tells you more about Zelda and how she views things. “The flow of time is always cruel” not only applies to Links circumstance but also what Zelda has been through in the 7 years Links been gone.

Julie didn’t torture and interrogate Verso for shits and giggles. She didn’t wake up that day and just decide to make Verso’s life hell. She did what she did because he LIED to her and she knew he lied. He specifically tried to convince Julie she was wrong when she knew she wasn’t.

A man and his father are the only survivors of their expedition. They don’t even have any wounds from surviving a possible attack.They come back trying to convince everyone else to change their mission and that the Paintress is the solution. The man is then literally blown apart but when you get to him he is magically whole again and only bruised. There are other witnesses that saw the same thing you did. The man gains consciousness and then tries to gaslight you into thinking you misunderstood what you saw (while there are other witnesses).

Don’t tell me this doesn’t sound suspicious. Literally anyone being honest with themself about the situation would look at all this and think Verso was up to no good. Now we obviously know Verso had a reason behind all this but Julie did not, and had no way of knowing because Verso lied to her when she started picking up crumbs of something being up.
