I feel like when people hate on BOTW’s formula and how it “ruined” the series I think they forget, or ignore, why BOTW’s drastic change was needed. It’s because Skyward Sword had a lot of people fatigued with the traditional Zelda formula because it didn’t really add anything new to it. Instead, it did the opposite, where most of the game is spent repeating areas and bosses. BOTW looked at Skyward Sword and decided to go the exact opposite direction because it’s what the series needed at the time after the way SS was received and the issues people had with it.

I can’t praise Tears of The Kingdoms wind temple enough. It’s one of my favorite experiences in gaming. The music and atmosphere is top tier and the entire experience, especially Colgera, is very cinematic. All the little references in the music (Like dragon roost island in Colgera, Attack on Vah Medoh and Revali’s theme in the dungeon music) is the cherry on top.

Just want to point out that Aline kept Verso’s flaws and maybe some things she didn’t like when she painted p Verso. She didn’t erase key parts of her son to make him perfect. She wanted her boy exactly how he was.
