I know we as a fanbase use the terms “real” and “painted” to refer to the different Dessendre’s but it’s actually devastating to see how some of the painted versions seriously don’t think they are as “legitimate” as their counterparts. The painted Dessendre’s may be based on people who “actually existed”, but I don’t think that makes them automatically worth less.

#so I think that by itself makes p Verso different from r Verso because that’ll do shit to a person #original verso didn’t have to be immortal for 100 years and loose his entire family #expedition 33 #real talk is that I don’t rlly like calling them ‘painted’ and ‘real’ but it’s the most used and understood terms for the different families #in the fanbase #so I just go along with it bc everyone knows what you mean when you say r Verso or p Verso

Sometimes I like to think about a world where my Mahariel and Tabris would be besties, since they are around the same age and go through similar experiences with being an elf.

But life didn’t really work that way for either of them. My Mahariel survived the events of DAO but died less than 5 years later, with Zevran finding her body. My Tabris became bitter and defined by hate, and spent her life miserable.

They both deserved better.
