Adventure Lives On!

With the Slinky Dog coaster finally off our bucket list, Irwin and I still had quite a bit to check off before we took a bus to Disney Springs for the movie. We started making our way over to Toy Story Mania, when we noticed a line to meet Woody and Jessie! Irwin asked if we could stop, and I thought that was a wonderful idea.

They were so nice to Irwin! He’s met so many characters over the past couple of years. This opportunity was really special, and it was a nice addition to all the fun we had planned.

Toy Story Mania was a surprisingly long wait! Thankfully, there’s lots of neat toys and characters from the movies to meet.

Irwin couldn’t believe how impressive Mr. Potato Head looks in person! The ride itself is a blast, giving you carnival-style target shooting as you zip along in a little vehicle. Our accuracy wasn’t great, but we still enjoyed ourselves.

We also saw a ton of great Toy Story stuff!

It was pretty tempting to want to get something to commemorate the day, but there would be time for that later. We had checked everything off at Toy Story Land, and it was time to head for Disney Springs! We had a pretty big movie date lined up!

With a whole morning and afternoon at Hollywood Studios behind us, Irwin and I were ready for more adventures at Disney Springs! It had been a little while since our last visit, so we wanted to hit up a couple of stores before we went to the AMC.

Muppet plushes! I was pretty tempted, but the only ones I really want are Fozzie and Gonzo.

The Oswald plush was also very tempting! I may go back for him another time, but Irwin and I knew we needed to wait until we visited just one more store. Disney Ever After had a new section for Duffy and Friends merchandise, and we thought there might be one or two things that could be neat to check out.

And by one or two things, I mean everything they had! It took a lot of reserve to not just buy everything, but you know we didn’t leave the store emptyhanded. I’ll save that for a special post showing off everything we brought home. For now, as a big Duffy and Friends fan, I can’t tell you how lovely it was to see all this stuff in a U.S. store. It would be great if Disney kept this up! Maybe a Duffy and Friends stop-motion animated series?

I can dream!

But at that point, it was time for the main event! What did we think of Toy Story 5?

I won’t spoil anything, so let’s just saw we really, really liked it. I’ll need to see it again, but my first reaction to Toy Story 5 is that I liked it as much as the second, which is my favorite. I just couldn’t stop laughing and smiling. The story was interesting and had a great, emotional ending. The animation is stunning. The Taylor Swift song was really good, too! Irwin and I cried quite a bit, too. It really was a perfect movie in every possible way. I really hope we can see it again soon.

So, at this point, Irwin and I are VERY TIRED! We’ve been out for hours on a particularly hot June day. We visited our favorite park, finally rode some new favorite attractions, and had the best time at Disney Springs. We’ll be going to the Parks again soon, but for now, it’s time to rest a little!

But I’ve got one more post to share! We brought home some pretty incredible, ridiculous things from our day, and I can’t wait for you to see what we’ve got.
