The character is an elderly man with long, flowing hair and sunken eyes surrounded by dark circles, wearing a mask with large teeth covering his mouth, and tubes emerging from the mask. He is saying: "Lockheed-Nestlé supports everyone's right to identify as any hue they wish, including mauve. We deeply apologize to all offended parties for the coarse language used at the incident. "Fuck" is an extremely offensive term, the usage of which we do not condone. All Lockheed-Nestle acolytes of wizard rank and above will be subject to mandatory sensitivity training I guess."

Panel 2, captioned "Earlier...": Moss green person is standing on top of a fighter jet in flight, wearing what looks like a bandana, firing a machine gun they are holding in one hand, while stepping on the head of someone who is flailing wildly. They have another person in a chokehold, who is saying "Watch out they took my gun!". Another jet is exploding in the background, and a third person is jumping off the first jet's tail fin towards moss green person, brandishing knives while screaming "Witness Nespresso Power (tm)". Moss green person is firing the gun at them in return. A fourth person is falling off the front of the jet, and a fifth is clinging to the wing by a single arm.

Panel 3:

Cut back to the couch as in panel one. Lime green person: "I mean. You had five Nesprexecutioners after you. I think it was fine to use the gun."

A non-green person who has entered on the left: "You know, I think you should have settled your differences peacefully."

Moss green person: "Sorry, who the hell are you?"

Leaf green person: "We're discussing boycotting right now please don't change the subject, total stranger"

consistent principles

Here's how that works:

say you get a text from your internet provider, let's say it's Comcast (whom i hate). So you have this text that says it's from Comcast about your bill with a contact number and a clickable link -- could be real, could be a scam.

Don't touch anything about this text. Open a web browser and look up the customer service number for Comcast. Or get the number from the bill they send you. However you do it, get the contact info for Comcast from a trusted source, like an official phone directory or the Comcast website itself.

Get in touch with them using that information.

So. Let's run the example both ways it could go.

If it IS a scam: you reach out to Comcast and tell them you were contacted about a problem with your bill, they look you up in their customer database, and they tell you there is no problem with your bill.

If it's NOT a scam, you do the same thing, they look you up, and they explain the problem. In this case, neither Comcast nor the employees involved give a single shit whether or not you clicked the link in the text vs. going through their official website.

This works the same for the your bank, the IRS, Amazon, political causes, charities, everything.

If it's not scam they'll be like sure, here's the reference number. Then you follow the instructions above, call the separate number you find yourself on a reputable website and give that person the reference number. And they'll help you resolve the issue.

I hung up and called back.

The incredibly bored lady at the actual police office phone confirmed it was a scam.
