You are my beautiful bright dream. I confess my love for you each night in the quietness of my heart and it feels like you hear me, or maybe it’s my soul yearning you are there. You are the soft unconditional love that has seen me grow throughout the years, the one that embraces me when I am lost, and smiles brightly when I am loved. You are my guide; the pathway home. But you are also the love that has been lost, an unattainable world, and the deep piercing pain that remains from what is now gone. I am the wolf. My heart howling for you, its song resonating in my bones. I long to be with you. That’s all I ever wanted and yet it is so much to ask for. You fill my eyes with wonder, with hopes, and with dreams that will never become. I find myself on this earth, filled with darkness and limitations, disappointments and obstacles towards a happiness that I can never hold. Without a safe place, I have always hoped to find it in you. But maybe to have you would break the magic you bear over me, maybe it would make it too mundane and it’s through the distance that the admiration stays. Or maybe if it one day does come true, I will just feel safe and at peace with you, and the world after me will then also think of me every time they look up to you.
