IF YOU MUST BLINK!

First off, mun is NEON. I am autistic, 25+, she/they and aro/ace. Important note that I am not Japanese myself, though I do research for the purpose of my own muse. Please feel free to correct any historical inaccuracies I may present and supplement me with any info (preferably, with evidence, documents articles etc. for further research) to help! I personally set Kubo as occurring between the very late 1400s to the first decade of the 1500s, but am flexible with the timeframe.

I am MUTUALS ONLY. I only interact with people who follow me and who I follow back, and vice versa. Exceptions are of course, those with sideblogs, in which I always follow the sideblog I am interested in. Keep in mind I am employed, have other life obligations, and have a dozen other hobbies besides roleplaying, so I can be a slow turtle sometimes when it comes to doing anything. Activity usually occurs in short bursts over the span of a week - two weeks. I DO NOT DO ROMANCE OR SEXUAL SHIT. The latter is a big obvi as I am writing a minor who I will not be aging up, but even regardless I’m not comfortable with smutting. Very sex repulsed aro/ace here. I also am not comfortable doing romance with anyone other than those I already deeply trust outside of roleplaying, and romance is not the goal of this blog. (Also, I’ve never dated anyone in my life...) I’m here to get my platonic and found family fixes, those are good tropes and I adore them. Typical angst such as violence, death, etc can be found here but I never go into things too heavy.

     “–it’s going to be quite lonesome traveling without him by me, but at least I can trust that he will take fine care of my rose while I’m gone.” He folded his arms around his knees, gazing up at the night sky from their place by Kubo’s cave. Vulpecula, the constellation that was dear to the Little Prince, was shining down on them. Though sorrow laced his words, there was only a fond, relieved smile on his face.

     He held like that for a moment or two before turning his smile back to the friend he had sitting beside him. “And besides, this way I have fewer worries on my travels. Foxes are very good at protecting flowers from caterpillars after all.”

      “ WELL, WHAT ABOUT THE BAOBOBS? ” He says after swallowing a mouthful of rice. “ He wouldn’t bother your sheep, would he? Since I’ve heard foxes like to do that ... ”

    “ Y’know I can’t pose like this forever. ” The chittering beast gives a final stretch before he rolls to his paws. “ You need help falling asleep, kid? ”

     HE HUFFS, CHEEK PUFFING SLIGHTLY with indignance as his model -- the furry, fluffy GOLDEN BEAST that stands before him, finally unraveled from their pose. Kubo was almost finished, too ... gently, he pulls on the corners of the origami figure, and he takes the fold on its belly and blows into it. The air PUFFS its once flat body into something more rotund, not unlike the real thing.

      Then, still neglecting to reply to AIRIN’S question, Kubo reaches for his shamisen and slings it across his lap. He sets the origami piece down and plucks a few strings on his beloved instrument.

      The figure would pop up, its ears perking with alert as though it was shaken awake by the ethereal presence of MAGIC. The miniature AIRIN began to amble about, though somewhat drowsily -- reflecting the state of its master. No sooner than when the notes began did the makeshift being fall forward on its face, and unravel into flat, planar sheets with a faint rustle. The music ended.
