There are a few reasons as to why I had a two century absence from tumblr and have not been updating as usual.

The first thing is that I just lost all motivation for making the game. I constantly ran into problems, I felt like I barely made any progress on SouP, I didn’t know what to do with it, and I think the biggest mistake with it was the entire scope of the game was way too big.

 If there was anything that I learned from all of this was to not make a 10 hour game as your first game. It is an awful idea and if you do it you’re doing something wrong.

Another issue was that I lost a majority of the files when I was switching from my old laptop to my new one, so that pretty much killed it for me.

So, I’ve decided to take another shot at making a game. I don’t know if this newest version will still be called SouP in the end, since the more I go along with the game the less it actually has to do with soup.

This time around everything is a lot more focused, I planned out what exactly I want the game to be in the end, and it’s a whole lot smaller in scale.

Hey everyone! It’s been a while but quite a bit has changed since the last update.

I’ve finally decided to stick with my original design I had for Soup Story, as it seems that a majority including myself seem to prefer this over the updated look. I also just didn’t like the general direction I was taking with the game before I decided to go back to the original design. This also means I’m back to using Rpg2k3 for development.

I also have the basic outline for what the battle system will most likely look like in the end, with a familiar foe as my test enemy. Most of the interface right now are just placeholders.

Hey everyone, its Orange and I’ve finally gotten around to making an update about SouP (yes I have changed the title slightly). 

I’ve switched back to using rpg maker vx ace mainly due to the fact that I realized that I have no idea on how to exactly use ohrpgce. 

I also haven't been posting very many updates because I haven’t made much “progress” on the game. Most of the work so far has been working on making the tilesets for the game. 

I will also start streaming me working on the game soon so keep an eye out for those.

Other than that, that’s about all the new updates on SouP
