Bumblebee sighed. Optimus had told him to scout the forest for any potential Decepticon activity. Frankly, it was quite boring. He was forbidden from bringing a media player or any of the such, no music, no TV, just... nature. How exciting.

However, he didn't think he'd actually meet anyone here...

"Helloooo? I know you're somewhere out there! Show yourself, Decepticon!"

Bluejet, behind a tree let out a small “EEK” (it was more of like a mouse squeak)

"Doesn't SOUND like a Decepticon... or much of a threat at all," he muttered to himself.

"Who's there? Who are you? How- how and WHY are you even here?"

“WHAT WHAT WHAT, WHO ARE YOU WHY ARE YOU HERE??”

He caught his blue optics, and of course, his insignia. An Autobot. Well, that's a relief.

"WHAT- I- uh. I'm Bumblebee, aaand my team and I just crash-landed here, after some fragging Decepticreeps found us... I gotta ask, what's a bot like you doing on this planet anyway?"

Even while still being wobbly, he backs away slowly as best as he can, trying to make some distance between them

“I- you- WHY ARE YOU HERE I THOUGT ONLY OUR CREW WAS HERE???”

“Hey, hey, calm down, I’m not gonna hurt you”

“And no. It’s not just your crew. Again. We crash-landed here after some Decepticons trashed us. Seriously dude, you good??”

“GOOD GOOD GOOD”

He paused for a moment, trying to regain his breathe

“Me and my.. crew were sent here because of because they wanted to find out, more about organic life”

“Where even are the rest of your crew?”

“I uhm, can’t tell you where my crew is probably maybe, just in case” “and and i don’t know why .. we came to look at ,, organics..!”

“Uh-huh. Sure, buddy…”

I mean, come on. He’s awfully nervous, can’t even explain himself.

“Please please,,! I’m not lying I swear to Primus! I just,, I just don’t know if I am allowed to tell you specifics!!”

Bluejet may be an Autobot, but even so, not all of them could be trusted. Might need someone who could actually get him to talk…

“…another Autobot? Are you sure they do not belong to the Elite Guard?” He’s already bracing to transform and roll out. No way is he coming unprepared.

“I’m sure, Bossbot! I don’t remember them from my time… but they say they’re here to study organics, and he won’t say anything else! And he says he has a crew somewhere…”

He said very faintly under their breath

Without another word, Optimus Prime is on the mission and rolling out, tracing Bumblebee’s commlink to the woods he stationed the bot in, in the first place. Out in the wilderness it gets dangerous, but he knew better than stationing Bee back at the plant, scanning his optics over repetitive reading— that’s Optimus’ thing, reading anything he could get his grubby servos on, like an over-eager child who yearns to learn; the type to actively want to be a librarian. That’d just lead to disaster in the form of slacking off to play video games. The buzzing busy Bee must be put out in the field.

The road ahead past the cement and asphalt city is treacherous and tumultuous out in those woods, however. You don’t know what to expect until it bites you in the aft… whether deservedly, or unjustly so.

The comm is still on, but he doesn’t care.

“Just stay right there, bot! Optimus Prime’s coming to sort this out!”

Bluejet was completely in shock, how could this get any worse?!!

“Now, who are you? A Decepticon spy?”

At this point everything had gone to scrap into Bluejets mind, all attempts to think straight have been completely obliterated, A PRIME??? A random bot basically interrogating him, but a Prime too?? All Bluejet wanted was to see his friend but now this has all gone down

All Bluejet could due in this state of mind was curl up to try and protect themself. Barely being able to process what was going on and process what people were saying

While saying this they couldn’t move and had their hands above their head

It felt like a while, or at least a while for this situation for Bluejet to calm his nerves and to explain why they were here

“Please, I’m telling you the truth! Again, I don’t know if- I’m allowed to say details! I didn’t even KNOW there’d be other bots on earth in the first place!”

“Really I just came- to see my friend! That’s it! I was having break day since nothing- exciting enough has happened for me to get orders!”

Bluejet was ab,e to stand back up, through still wobbly. They were surprised to see they were taller than bumblebee, even if it wasn’t by much.

“Can I go now,,?”

The guy never even showed up on the energy signature trackers made specifically FOR ‘Con activity, never made it on the news for causing some ruckus downtown by wrecking half the street with a reckless use of plane wings…

“No, but you’re not an evil bot— I can see it in your spark. You’re just unknown for now, and if you’d introduce yourself properly,” Optimus gestured to the axe in his right servo, “we could forego the, uh, pleasantries.”

The bot, now calmed now more, seemed to be very expressive, moving their audials along with the words they were saying

*insert cartoonish well-placed ‘SCHWINGG!!’*

“My name is Optimus Prime. Leader of the Autobots of Earth… and this is my subordinate and friend, Bumblebee.”
