These short lines. Are all I manage. My thoughts. Condensed.

Don’t make children. In your image. They have their own. Parenting.

I lay in bed. Unable to move. Unable to act. Depression.

Fear of change. Even for better. That’s what stops us. Procrastination.

We use the word. It doesn’t mean. What we want it to. Normal.

It’s an escape. From your mind. Social media. De-stressing.

Where are the words? Not from my mind. My thoughts are pain. Confusion.

What we all need. What keeps us going. More than a little. Encouragement.

Who has died? Only the sick. “That’s encouraging.” Eugenics.

Oh, my sleep. Where have you gone? I’m too old for this. Insomnia.

Weighing on my heart. Weighing on my mind. Relief overwhelms. Resolved.

Nothing to say. Nothing to do. Feeling inert. Saturday.

My daughter said. That’s not like you. I didn’t read. Yesterday.

It makes no sense. On this sunny day. To lay in bed. Depression.

In the still of the night. I almost believe. Things will be better. Illusions.

Learning to be. Trials or peace. How to be present. Mindfulness.

It’s your birthday. I should’a done better. You’d be happy. Regret.
