kip in prison

in 2018, a group of lawmakers was made to research how children are treated in prison/ courts. a number of them were invited to kip’s prison to get to know the inmates and be able to meet directly.

a meeting was organised that kip attended, along with other inmates of his and the guests, and all sat in a big circle. everyone knew kip and what he had done so it was quite uncomfortable.

some of the guests later said that when they saw him, they thought about walking out.

various questions were asked, including “what’s something that you’ve wanted to do but have never done?”

to this, kip answered that he has always wanted to go to a concert.

kip and a few other inmates started a petition to adopt a cat for the prisons chapel (OSCI) , the cat in the photo he's holding is the one they wanted to adopt :)

kip is known to be fond of animals , in his home before the shooting , he had a calico cat named tiger lily
