This is Jun, editor and brainstormer of Operation Ichor. Just wanted to hop on to make my own announcement since I ran this page.

Firstly, please respect the creators’ wishes and don’t harass any of the mods/staff of the OI crew.

I don’t think this has to be explicitly stated, but do NOT send messages or asks saying things that would pressure Slumbrr to start up OI again. The decision to close this story for good was for their health. Respect that, please!

Secondly, thank you for joining us here! It has truly been an awesome journey for us. We don’t regret this ever being created, and we are so grateful to all the fan works made in this comic’s honor.

Looking back on when this all started, we—Slumbrr and I—never would have imagined it would get this big.

It became a double edged sword, one could say. It’s wonderful having such an engaging and skilled community be cultivated! But it also became stressful as the pressure weighed in after every posted chapter…

Still, we loved so many moments from it. Thank you so much for sticking around. It’s your choice whether or not to stick around this community, but either way, we hope you do well.

Goodbye and may the stars bless you all. Thank you again for being here. It really does mean a lot to us. 💜

Since there has been some confusion, here is an update for everyone!

1. Operation Ichor is NOT discontinuing!! At least, not as of right now.

2. During the hiatus, @slumbrr-r had found out they have a OSDD/DID system. I insist you all to do your own research about it, but basically, if you see anyone else post on here (i.e., Elliot), that is an alter!

Please be respectful when interacting with the alters! They are their own identities, so they will not have the same boundaries as Slumbrr does!

We’ll get back to our regular scheduled posts as soon as we can. Right now, the Operation Ichor team (Jun/me, Theo, and Slumbrr) are currently juggling multiple responsibilities, so please be patient with posts!

@slumbrr-r will be going on a hiatus again. Slumbrr very much enjoys putting their work out there and is thankful to all the fanart, compliments, and positive interactions they have been garnering!

However...recently, there have been specific comments that are comparing their AU to others, and it has become increasingly frustrating as a creative person to keep putting work out when you feel like your work is being devalued.

So, for now, they will be taking a break from Tumblr and social media. Any future posts you may see from them will be posts that were queued. Thank you for reading this and sticking around! Slumbrr and I are very grateful towards you all for being a big motivator to us in making this AU. And just to clear any confusion: I will be active online, but Slumbrr will not!

And my final disclaimers: Please do not compare other people's creative works to others. It is very discouraging and rude to hear from people that your ideas, art, and/or writing is like someone else's. Yes, some ideas may be similar—but there's no need to point that distinction out unless plagiarism is at fault—even if it was meant to be a joke.

Also, please do not go and attack others for making these types of comments. (They may not be aware of the etiquette that comes along with interacting with artists and writers.)
