Rather tame for Anna.Â
Beautiful colour and flattering, simple cut.
Not sure about the bust crossover bling but she does like to tizz things up.
Excellent recital or competition frock choice.
Would've looked more elegant if she'd put her hair up.
I'll be honest, I don't know what's going on here, or who dressed her (with long gloves), but I'm gonna go ahead and say no anyway. I'm sure it's some fabulous haute couture limited edition million dollar dress, but...
No.
Oh, JOYCE!
This dress is awesome. Very flattering for her shape. (Not my shape. I couldn't wear it.) Perfect recital wear and freed up around the arms to allow for movement and expression.
Judging by all the roses, I'd say someone hit a good note or three...
It's quite hard to find pictures of Barbara Bonney on stage singing with a piano or orchestra. Come on, Babs. Release thy glory onto the Googles.
This is a fantastic dress, and fantastic boobage.
Generally, the retired opera singers I've worked with say that you SHOULDN'T reveal cleavage, too much leg, etc, because it means that panel or audience is focusing on something other than your voice and your face.Â
But still. Magnificent tit.

I don't know if this is a costume; the microphone would suggest that probably it's not from an opera performance, but the stage is hard to tell from. Any ideas?
How fabulous is this frock? Â I'd wear it for an aria competition.
Fantastic colour and wonderful, flattering cut. Brilliant, Debbie.Â
The lighting is pretty bad so I'm not sure how washed out her face is but a little extra makeup wouldn't go astray. Lips. She has them.
Daaaaamn, but if that ain't an outfit. Wow.
FYI: Jessye Norman transcends all fashion laws and is a law unto herself. Photos of Jessye can only be posted respectfully, except for the couple of corkers I'm still umm-ing and aah-ing about because I just want to worship her, truly I do.
Very elegant. Not many of us could get away with that kind of fit across the tummy whilst taking deep singer breaths, but somehow, Ms Voigt manages it.
LOVE gold. People don't wear enough gold. Where are the Beyoncés of the opera world?
A surprise performance with Kristin Chenoweth at Carnegie Hall in May was almost enough to make up for the bodice and sleeves on that dress...Â
Oh, Deborah.
Dress by Ralph Lauren. I don't know what the occasion for this dress was, but I'm gonna go ahead and say "no" anyway.
It's nice to channel a bit of Jessye sometimes, though.
Just maybe not in fire engine red.

Smokin' hot, Joyce, but I can see every breath... Is it less than elegant to show how hard we're working our bellies?Â
Only for the skinny and the brave.
Well, it certainly stands out onstage. #shineon #glitterglitter
Oh, Joyce. Just perfect in every way.
That frock! That hair! And perfect jewellery and makeup to match.
Susan Graham in her favourite colours again. Very interesting colour choice. If it were in cream and gold, she'd look like a queen. Think this colour combination is channelling a little bit mermaid, a little bit Queen Mab. I actually love these colours.
The cut of this dress is perfect for an opera singer who is self-conscious about tummy. Love the way that the fabric falls in folds down her sides. It's quite queenly.
Great hair. Big earrings. Old-fashioned jewellery.Â
A bright, regal look, but not modern, and not terribly sophisticated.Â
Versatile one-shouldered shawl affair for Susan. Â Do we like it with indigo underlay or mulberry? Â These are the colours that I gravitate toward when picking out colours. Clearly I need to be best friends with Susan.
Loving the necklace in the first picture.

Joyce always gets the hair right. Note both styles above. Loving it.
A little bit intrigued by what she's wearing. Does anybody know more about this gown?
Oh, Joyce. So much yes.
