My friends, I can't bear all this pain anymore. Today I haven't stopped crying because of the severe pain in my stomach, and the dizziness and headaches haven't stopped because of hunger and anemia. I get why our current general societal thing is to say it doesn't matter which undiagnosed mental illnesses you had when you behaved badly because you should still be accountable for your own actions & I actually agree with that in many ways. however I think some people have gotten overly fatalistic about how much simply knowing what your own deal is can transform your life basically overnight if you actually hold yourself to treating your own mental health properly. like I do not think figuring out I had OCD solved all my problems but it explained 90% of the most fraught online social experiences I have had cyclically throughout my adult life and once I got treatment for it I never had that specific issue ever again. sometimes it IS that easy.
