Is this the most heartwarming deleted scene in The Office?

Peter Ocko: When I first started they had the idea tor a christening epi-sode, which is as unsexy an episode as you can possibly pitch. And when they brought it up, the entire room looked at me ‘cause I had a lot of kids. And I think the thought was, “Well, let him write it.” And I felt acutely a sense of, “How do you keep what we all loved in Jim and Pam in this post-marriage, postbaby world?” And it was honestly very difficult. We had to live in that space, and I think it was to the actors’ credit and to the writers’ credit it managed to keep people’s attention. But it was definitely a difficult stretch, I would say.

Creed Bratton: I could get emotional just watching John and Jenna just filming a scene because of that unrequited-love feeling they were conveying. It felt romantic. I coula be across the room, glance up, and see the look. It was all in the eyes. They had a real special rapport.

One of the reasons Jim and Pam felt so real is because John Krasinski and Jenna Fischer made us believe they were meant to be together. Their chemistry was so natural that many fans were genuinely disappointed to learn they weren’t a couple in real life.

Dwight and Angela's ending almost wasn't the ending we got—and honestly, it's hard to imagine The Office without it. The original idea for The Farm would've given Dwight a completely fresh start, leaving Angela behind as part of his past. Instead, we got something far more satisfying: two people who spent years making mistakes finally finding their way back to each other.

Their relationship was never simple. It was awkward, chaotic, secretive, and sometimes completely ridiculous. But underneath all the beet farming, contract clauses, cats, and bizarre traditions was a love that never truly disappeared. Dwight never stopped caring about Angela, and Angela slowly learned to let her guard down for the one person who understood her better than anyone else.

That's why their wedding felt so rewarding. It wasn't just another sitcom finale—it was the payoff to years of growth, forgiveness, and second chances. Seeing Dwight Schrute finally marry the woman he loved, surrounded by the people who had become his family, was one of the most emotional moments The Office ever gave us.

RIP James Burrows 💧He was the greatest comedy director of all time!! I had the pleasure of warming up dozens of sitcom episodes for him. Shows like “Friends”, “Man With A Plan”, “Joey”, “Veronica’s Closet”, “The Class” and many pilots. I was the Warmup DJ, so we usually discussed music. He loved Bruce Springsteen and The Rolling Stones! Watching him direct his amazing crew was an absolute masterclass and an honor! My condolences to his family and his crew!! Jimmy Burrows brought out the best in every actor he ever worked with, and elevated every show he directed, making it funnier and more moving than anyone expected.

His warmth, humility and generosity made us feel safe, like family, and I’m sure we weren’t the only cast to feel that way. He looked out for us, on camera and off.

He became another Father figure for me, and I’m sure others. Paternal in the best sense of the word: Loving, wise, encouraging, challenging, instructive, patient, inspiring, playful—and on my best days, I’d like to think, even proud.

Thousands of writers, actors, producers, crew members and network execs are forever blessed to have been on a sound stage with him, watching him work and learning from his incomparable talent.

Jimmy, I miss you already and I’m forever grateful to you. Thank you for being such a wonderful director, mentor and friend.

Oh boy… 💔 Papa Burrows. The hardest thing about writing this is that you spent a lifetime making people feel loved, and now it feels impossible to put all of that love into a few paragraphs.

He called us his “kids” — “Where are the kids?”“Let’s see if the kids can make the joke work.” No pressure. ❤️

His own incredible children were generous enough to share him with all of us who were lucky enough to experience his unicorn presence. He was a father figure to me. He always checked in on me. He worried about me, celebrated me, taught me, guided me, and held me through the hardest times and the best of times. He spoiled us rotten.

Most of all, he taught us—the kids—how important it is to love and respect one another. To take care of each other. To have each other’s backs and support each other, no matter what. And we did just that.

I miss your voice. I miss your laugh. I miss your brilliance. Wherever you are, I hope someone is asking, “Where are the kids?” ❤️

John Krasinski, who played Jim Halpert on "The Office," tells Yahoo Entertainment's Ethan Alter about his first audition, meeting Jenna Fischer and how he knew she would be the Pam to his Jim.

The secret of the Jim/Pam note from The Office just may stay a secret forever, but it's clear that note meant a lot to the performers involved. The Office co-stars Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey launched the Office podcast Office Ladies last fall, in which they’re revisiting the beloved NBC sitcom episode-by-episode. But a few weeks ago, Fischer made headlines by opening up a bit about the note that Jim almost gives Pam in Season 2—the one he was going to hide inside the teapot. Fans of the show know that the note resurfaces in the show’s final season, and while we never get to see what it says, it visibly makes Pam/Jenna emotional when she finally reads it.

As it turns out, Fischer revealed on Office Ladies that the note was written by John Krasinski himself, and that inside it he had written about how much Jenna Fischer had meant to him over the course of making the series. Fischer got emotional on the podcast when recounting what Krasinski said in the note, and while she wouldn’t reveal exactly what it said, she did say it was “perfect.”

So with the iconic Jim/Pam note back in the news, Collider’s own Steve Weintraub tried to see if Krasinski might spill the beans about its contents when speaking with the actor/writer/director at the press day for his new film A Quiet Place Part II (which is already picking up rave reviews).

Krasinski, like Fischer, was tight-lipped about the note, but had this to say about his co-star’s recent revelation:

“Jenna did [talk about it] right? Jenna, on her podcast, I thought gave a really good answer. It was enigmatic, and it was powerful, and I got emotional.”

The actor/filmmaker followed up by jokingly adding, “How could Collider want more than that?” Which suggests he and Fischer are perfectly fine keeping the exact contents of that note between them.
