"Why ya lookin’ at me like I stalk people or something?"  

          "Yeah, yeah - so have I. But so what? You gotta take care of yourself. We only get one life.” Well, most of us. Non-the-less, Machika was insistent about at least wrapping the injury. It would at least lessen the chance of infection.

                        One life was it?                           If that was the case, she used up hers.

          "Just a scratch my ass." Machika pulled a cloth from her bag, already torn from times before, but she ripped a new strip from it. "Let me bandage it."

{κόραξ} —— As usual, Elesis was always straight to the point - and Raven could respect that as a fellow soldier, but the bloody warpath that she treaded upon often concerned the ivory swordsman. Her unquenchable, belligerent rage and thirst for blood of those that have wronged her before reminded all too much about himself. Could this have been him? It was a scary thought, seeing himself within this once proud ‘red-haired knight’ that stood before him. There were times when he wanted to tell her to let go of the anger, how it’d consume her whole one day and drive her mad like he once did. He wanted to warn her that very same mistake he once made could very well happen to her and ear away at her mind. 

But what right did Raven have? 

He had none.

Elesis was a master of the road she chose to walk on. She made this choice knowing full well of the repercussions behind it. 

"Indeed," He sighed, "If there’s something you need to do, then don’t let me keep you."
