depending on local scene flavor, you will either have excellent or rancid luck if you check for whatever groups are advertising at the FLGS. Library's always a good choice, third place is probably a decent coffee shop.

I think if you have a shitty parent(s) there is often one moment you can point to that was the moment of no return. Many of us never had a relationship with our terrible parent(s) but a lot of us tried very hard to love them despite everything and had one moment where we were like “Okay, wow. Actually, this person does not care about my health, safety and wellbeing in the slightest and I’m not sure they love me.”

If you have some leftover Brie from your fancy cheese party or whatever you should put it on toast with some strawberry preserves.

You’ll feel bacchanalian levels of pleasure and indulgence if you do this, trust me. Even more so if it’s on fresh bread.

Also if you eat those little babybell cheese things, put some honey or fruit preserves on it to microdose on this same feeling.

If you have soft goat cheese or just cream cheese, try a creole influenced thing where you mix marmalade and horseradish in equal portions and put that over your block of cheese, serve with hot bread or toast or crackers and if ya nasty get a little wine

Great news! make cranberry jam. add brie. if you want to be extra fancy, make a nice crust, spread a little brie on it, then pile the jam on top. fancy pie. (i did this + orange whipped cream, it was amazing)

hey! got some leftover cream cheese in your fridge? 'bout half a brick of it? mix that with the yolk of two eggs (and the white of one of them; idk what you do with the other make a boring omelette or some shit) and a tablespoon of lemon juice, a bit of vanilla, about three quarters of a cup of sugar, about that much again flour - it should just come to cake batter - and a teaspoon of baking powder. Throw it in an oiled pan, chuck said pan in whatever box of making food hot you have at about 200 C or 375 yank for 20 minutes, then crank it up about 25 (50) degrees for 10 more. Optionally glaze it with some leftover jam thinned out to a syrup or about 2 tablespoons each of lemon juice and sugar in that last bit. Congrats, cheese cake. Not cheesecake, cheese cake. Thank me later.

honestly that's not even about free healthcare. Canada doesn't pay for...really fuck all outside of a hospital, and I've only once or twice seen something reach three digits. Even that, usually for a three months supply. you're dead on about who's responsible and benefitting, tho
