The Samhain Festival is finally upon Luna Nova. What is Akko planning to do in order make her sacrifice to Vajarois the Grieving something only she can do? After the work Diana has put into planning and preparing for the Festival and her time spent with Akko helping her prepare, she is certain that it will be a spectacle, no matter what!

Sometimes, a new perspective is all we need.

Diana's feelings for Akko do not diminish as time wears on. Unfortunately, something happens to make it quite clear that there isn't a chance of it becoming something worth talking about. To help fight her heartbreak, Diana throws herself into researching how to revive magic, something that will require the help of her friends. After all, the call of the blue moon was impossible for any werewolf to resist.

The evening after Diana is revived after her brush with death following the events on the planet Wedin, she finds herself wandering the corridors of the Woodward, her thoughts racing. So much had happened that she was still processing, and there were still so very many questions that remained unanswered. There is one person now aboard who had many of those answers:

Her mother and creator, Bernadette Cavendish.

It was time for a mother/daughter reunion that was LONG overdue!

Diana begins her study sessions with Akko. The first one… well, it definitely could have gone much better. That was okay, though, because Diana was nothing if not diligent, and she could actually learn from her mistakes, no matter what her naysayers had to say about the matter. While that began to address Akko's lack of general magical knowledge, there was still the issue with her not being able to use magic. Diana didn't expect to get to the bottom of that immediately, but she was determined to get started on it. After all, if they could figure out the cause, they could fix it, and then everyone would see the potential that Akko had!

The exam period of the Autumn term are upon the witches who go to Luna Nova, and while Diana is acing them left and right, other students are not so fortunate, no matter how much effort they put into studying. It is perhaps unsurprising that the student suffering the most from said affliction is Akko Kagari, which really is a shame because even Diana has noticed how hard Akko has been working to improve. Just what is really going on with Akko? And how is her current predicament going to impact her opportunity to remain a student at Luna Nova?

Diana finally has the opportunity to be with Akko in the way that she has literally dreamed of, and given Akko's reactions, she wanted this as much as Diana did. What else was left, other than to greedily seize their mutual happiness with both hands and with the resolve to never let go?

After a lifetime of pain, Diana's happiness has finally arrived.

The week continues, and Diana's Friday morning at the hospital starts pretty rough but ends far better than she could have imagined. As a small reward to herself, she decides to go to her favorite bar and grill, where she's joined by unexpected company. Upon returning home, she discovers that she's not the only one to have unexpected company that evening, and she receives what might be encouraging. Now the only question is, when will she act upon it? Or will the universe decide on its own to act for her?

In the aftermath of that disastrous second session, Diana falls into a bad enough funk that Hannah and Barbara notice and confront her about it. Given that Diana just really doesn't want to deal with the fallout from them finding out about the situation with Akko, Diana instead vents about the issues she's been having on the ICU, which does help to improve her mood. Unfortunately, the ICU has additional ways to hurt Diana, as she is just about to find out...

The morning after Diana’s wet dream is an unmitigated disaster.

She wakes up much later than normal and doesn't have enough time to do all of her normal morning routines and only just barely gets to work in time. And of course, today is the day when things keep going wrong on the ICU. Just about the only silver lining is that Akko is able to get Diana in after work to finish the tattoo. Is this actually a silver lining, though? Or does Diana's lot in life intrude within Triple A Inkery and send it all crashing down?
