Hey can I just say it really fucks me up when people out here act like tuberculosis is some kind of extinct romantic victorian disease.

nearly one and a half million tuberculosis deaths are recorded annually. it’s the leading single infection cause of death in the world. It exacerbates existing HIV epidemics and targets people with other immune disorders. You have google fucking use it.

Actually while we’re at it here’s the cdc and who pages on tb, a nyt op-ed on how testing, tracing, and treatment isn’t taken as seriously in poorer countries, and the tballiance page.
