Hello! It's been a month since the dlc release, and I am honured by the amount of support and love my silly little game has garnered.
This log is meant as an update to what's going on "behind the scenes" to show what I've been working on for the past month, ever since the first chapterl release of the game.
Chapter one;
There are some sprites and artwork that I am personally not happy with. I made some of the artwork way earlier, before I fixed what sort of art direction I am going for. Some sprites will be revamped, along with some "cutscene" CGs.
There will be a GUI overhaul coming up next. As much as I love the basic renpy GUI, I feel like it lacks something that makes it unique. So I am working on updating the UI to better fir RYH's style.
A kind volunteer had stepped up to help me with the Chinese localization, and so, they and I are going to work on it.
p.s : I expect the update to be completed by mid of next month. Of course, this depends highly on whether or not the tl work gets done before that.

Chapter two;
I am also working on chapter two, although, I have to say I am no where near done. Thing about chapter two, is that I decided to make it longer. Like wayyyy longer than chapter 1 is. Chapter 2 will include two whole days, along with having access to the new location; the Town.
In town you are able to walk into a lot of stores and buildings, chat with its NPCs and find stable work (this will be a mini-game feature).
There are almost 7 new NPCs being made. And each of them can be visited alone, with Yuki, or with Zach.
There's also this "phone" system I am building. I am not sure if it will make the final cut, as it has been quite hectic to make it work.
Anyways, I expect chapter two to be complete by August. The dlc for chapter two might get slightly delayed, however I believe, it shouldn't get pushed to the end of August.
Main Menu image will get changed to this. The buttons will also be changed.
He is gonna look a bit more cuter ig. The old sprites are a bit dated, I believe, and so I would like to update it to suit newer drawings of mine. I say this, but the changes are going to be veryyyy subtle.
The Yuki here is an old sprite, but I wanted to show the textbox (I suppose I should make the box a bit more opaque). This is how it looks as of now. There will be more things to come, in chapter two like a HUD for time and day, and a toggle-able quest list.

I really like that you're willing to go darker with Yuki. He is held back, but by morals and consequences. But that makes it more interesting to see his struggles ^^ when he knows it's wrong and is self-aware but he just HAS to (´ . .̫ . `)

i was perusing genshin designs and I couldn’t help but feel like the female silhouettes are all rlly similar… and my Elia sorta fits it too(? but I don’t enjoy that so here’s my concept for changes
the first is the original, second is new, suddenly I realize my anatomy is genuinely fucked-up i dunno how to feel… it’s like smth’s off
some more modifications and such… I think I’ll give her shoulders some sort of birthmark/pattern, and her sleeves asymmetrical so one of them is gonna be torn… also I think there’s gonna be some belts holding the skirt slit together, and on the other side, her chatelaine and lantern. if it’s not too busy by the end I can add a apron thingy to the left side too. dunno what her top should have tho
