Sunny waited for him to speak and she let out an ‘ahhh’ noise and then smiled over at him giving a nod of her head. “thank you.”

“It’s a weird word, isn’t it? Try saying it.” A smile found its way to grace his lips. “You’re not from around here, aren’t you?”

Opening the door to Lane’s apartment from habit. Hands resting on his hips as he walked in. “So we’re a couple of sexless friend bats? That’s what you’re saying we are now. Didn’t you?” he teased, raising an eyebrow.

LANE: u know i don't like to lose at games. so u tell me what this is?

LANE: sounds safe to me.

LANE: we don't have sex so it's different. ur just the guy who comes and hangs out with me at night.

AXEL: u started this game. u had me under ur fingertips and u know i'll always come around.

AXEL: hmmm tell that to anyone and they'll agree that you're booty calling me

LANE: what game r we playing?

LANE: i'm just a tad drunk not a pyromaniac.

LANE: u r not a boody call. we'd have to be having sex for that. ur just my hot friend who i want to spend time with only at night. different.

AXEL: idk u tell me

AXEL: right. like being drunk and setting shit on fire is safe.

LANE: u really think i play?

LANE: me when i thought i can be a bartender. who doesn't carry around matches with them at all times?

LANE: i'll buy u drinks and get u an uber when ur to drunk to get home.

LANE: if that's not convincing enough i don't know what is.

AXEL: yes isn't it the whole thing you're doing to me?

AXEL: most people dont carry matches with them like a pyromaniac.

LANE: yes it would really be LIT. do i look like i play?

LANE: i was at the bar until i came up with this amazing idea i can be a bartender too and light shit on fire.

LANE: u coming or not?

AXEL: hmm a little bit. just a lil.

AXEL: wow who gave you permission? or do you just show up with fire?

“Considering math was my worse subject I can assure you that I won’t pretend to understand…”

LANE: i'm about to set my drink on fire.

LANE: want to witness the magic of me making a flaming dr. pepper?

AXEL: depends...

AXEL: would it really be LIT?

“I don’t…feel much, on math…either way.” he replied honestly. “Chemistry, makes more sense…so I only, know enough math…to get the information I need. Everything else…is confusing.”

“I don’t fuck with chemistry. Everything is just too hard to follow, for me. There are too much that I should memorize and it’s just a little too hard for my brain. What about physics though?”

Jae nodded and then shrugged his shoulders. “Actually, you’d have to ask one of the works, she came up with it literally about a week ago.” He laughed.

Sunny, feeling a little embarrassed turned her book around to show him. “My English… isn’t very good.” She frowned slightly looking from him back to the book and she pointed to one of the big words. “What does it say?” She asked. 

Axel lowered his back a little bit to read the word she pointed at him. “It says flabbergasted.” It’s nothing mouthful to him since english is his one and only language that he spoke of so fluently. “It means surprised... like very surprised.”

He nodded slowly, then once again when the answer came. “Yes,” he replied, still lost. “Why…did you want to do math?” There was a reason he hadn’t gone into physical chemistry, too much calculus.

“It’s logical... and for me it’s easy to understand. I’ve been really infatuated with numbers. Even when I was a kid,” he shrugged. “I was a huge nerd.” Even to this day, he was still kind of a nerd. “Do you not like math?”

“I mean, you could show me around anyway. Means I get to know the place again quicker.”

“Well, yes. That was the deal, wasn’t it?” he said, confused as to why Axel would ever question his integrity like that, if at all. “I don’t know… you did say you’ll make me do anything, and I did agree.” He shrugged. “Just don’t make me hurt someone, and I’ll do anything you say.”

“Yes,” he pointed out, smiling ever so proudly at the other’s statement. “I won’t make you hurt someone, I promise. Did you think I was a sociopath? God no!” Axel sighed, fingers on his temple to think... think of something. “Do you give a good massage?”

“You’re right, I’m sure I’ll be fine eventually,” Liv said with a nod. She didn’t know how long that would take, though. “Don’t worry, I won’t. I don’t really have anyone to tell, anyway. I don’t have as many friends at school as you think.”
