This is legitimately useful reframing. A while ago I started replacing the word "cop" in my vocabulary with "a man with a gun." It really puts things into perspective.

This homeless person is making me uncomfortable. Should I call [a man with a gun]?

My neighbor is having a loud party. Should I get [a man with a gun] involved?

There are some teenagers skateboarding. Do you think [a man with a gun] would get rid of them for me?

It makes it very clear what you're saying. I can call a man with a gun to threaten or hurt someone mildly inconveniencing me. You're not calling the cops, you're calling A MAN WITH A GUN into a situation that does not warrant a firearm handled by a volatile lunatic who will not be held accountable for his actions.

#i myself have a counselor so if i was truly worried for the person's safety or my own #I'd probably try to discreetly get ahold of her #but for the most part my partner has taught me to just ignore and move away for safety #but then I think about people who might need someone and y'all I'm from a small town in Wyoming #my instinct is always to stop and help and respond and reply if someone is talking to me #and thats not always safe #but what if what if that's the thing that makes the difference #its tough

Thinking about Love Triangles and how they would always be "Main character" and "Secretly Good Person" or "Secretly Toxic Person" and we the audience always knew/know how its gonna go.

I love when it's 2 characters who are both good, maybe in different ways, and you are genuinely torn on who Main Character should pick. Like if you have to add a triangle at least make all the characters in the triangle likable
