The Roleplay Community is such a wonderful place, it has so much potential. It’s a place for us to take a break from the stresses of our real lives, and have fun. We create exciting stories, create friendships, and we have fun. I think we can all agree that this community could be a happier one. I’ve seen it change a lot since I first joined over a year ago. We’ve gone through many ups and downs. The community needs more positivity.

You may ask, what can you do? It’s simple, The Positive Project’s goal is to spread love, positivity, and have a good time. We could do a lot more here, tumblr focuses way too much on getting and no where near enough receiving. So, let’s start giving! We’re all shy, I myself struggle with being shy plus social anxieties. Let’s not let that get in our way, see a blog you like? Give them a compliment! You see someone post a meme? You send them that meme! See that character you like? Send them anonymous asks, give the character some good questions. See that mun is down? Cheer them up! Even randomly send love to the mun and muse. Ask a roleplayer if you want to do a plot idea you have, or if someone asks for someone to do a plot with them and you want to, tell them! It’ll make them so happy. Everyone loves getting these things, and if we all take an effort, big or small, we can spread the positive things. Bond more as community. We need to focus more on giving, even if we don’t get back. Because the more we give, we will get. And when you see the results of giving, it’ll make you happy. And if you get this love? Give it to someone else!! Don’t end it there, give some positivity to someone you feel deserves it, or doesn’t get enough attention or credit. Even someone new who needs some inspiration. It’s time we do more than just reblog things waiting for the change. We need to be the change.

Remember how welcomed and loved you felt when you first joined? Don’t you want to feel that again? That’s one of The Positive Project’s goals. Send and spread all of these things, it’ll make everyone happier, even you. All I ask is that you send some positive messages, and if you get a positive message, you send something to someone you feel needs it, send all the things, and you reblog this. I want as many people to see this so we can further expand the project and bring the happiness everywhere. We come here to have a good time, let’s make it an ever better time. So reblog the hell outta this. I can’t do this alone, if we all take part something can, and will happen. I’m going to stop waiting for the change, it’s time to be the change.

The shoutouts going around are great, but I think we need more. Instead of receiving anon hate, it’s time we have more anon love become a thing. Go say something about a roleplayer you like, admire, a good partner, or even better, someone new or someone you’ve never interacted with. Find something positive about them, and tell them! If they don’t have anon, I encourage we all send love anyways! They’ll really appreciate it! It’s okay to be shy, I’m really shy myself, but I’m going to push myself out of the comfort zone and do my best to spread more love.

Some of my best roleplays have come from someone responding to a meme, or taking part in an M!A. See someone post a RP want you’re interested in? Message saying you’re interested, bet they’ll love it! I know it can be difficult, and you can be scared, I’m shy as hell and struggle with social anxieties, I got the courage to message that I was interested in this RP want, and I haven’t regretted it. (But if it’s too difficult for you, don’t worry :3).
