i got a sincere apology for things that happened 30+ years ago. it had already shifted to water under the bridge but it's nice for the parties involved to recognize what went wrong and to own it.

circumstances are aligning to likely allow me to move out of this cursed house around this time next year. and while that relocation will also be a transitional period like these last 3 years have been, it'll be a step to moving me to an even better location closer to my new jobs.

ever since i inherited this place I knew it was just a transitional phase. I don't have enough power to tend 70 acres. I hardly have enough power to tend the 8 that are actually being used. knowing that I'm on the path to something new and better is a real morale boost, especially after having survived this 80 year old barn-that-was-converted-into-a-house

that's supremely nice

over the last week i've had nine different people tell me they've noticed a positive shift in my personality/demeanor/energy levels. i've been making strides of progress through therapy and counseling to the point I've reduced the regularity of my sessions.

my new job(s) are almost nauseatingly easy to handle, with the commute being the biggest timesink for both locations. indoors and out of the sun, with no more hours upon hours of baking in the midday heat to mow hay.
