I want to sing the praises of the HG G-Reco Catsith for a moment. Despite being released in the same line as the original G-Self (the older crumbier version of it no less) and only a year later, it holds up extremely well. It was a joy to build and paint, and the simple blocky design makes it very sturdy.

The worst criticism I can give is that the torso and limbs don't bend very far, but the hips are fantastic, and better than most kits releasing today. It also could have maybe used a second holding hand (for the grip on the rifle), and the retractable beam sabres in the shins are a little loose. None of these are a big deal though - it's still easy and fun to put it into a variety of poses.

Thought it would be a fun idea if I cut out new stickers for this kit, so the panels had a different look to them in addition to tinting them purple. I also modified some of the panels themselves so you could configure them in more ways then what was intended- Maybe it’ll fight with them by turning them into some kind of blaster, a pair of shields, a giant sword, or whatever. Same goes for the extra arms; they had a small adjustment so the panels can be operated by them.
