Hello! I couldn't find this in the FAQ and it will make a huge difference in how I sign up: is matching or-based or and-based? That is, if I were to request Arata, Chihaya, and Taichi, would I be matched with someone offering all three or is there a chance I would be matched with someone offering only one or two of those characters? Thanks for running this!
Matching is and-based! So yes--if you were to request Arata, Chihaya, and Taichi, we would only match you to someone who has offered to write all three of them.Â
Though this is also where the description fields can help you out. Let's say for your Arata, Chihaya, and Taichi request you specified in the description that you want to read about them as a polyamorous OT3. That bit of information would help us avoid matching you to, say, someone who has specified in their offer's description that they only want to write gen about Arata, Chihaya, and Taichi. Our goal is to match you all with the best recipient and writer possible, so letting us know about your likes, dislikes, etc. will help us do that.

Hello, I'm having trouble signing up. It says: "These character tags in your offer are not allowed in this challenge: Akihiro Tsukuba, Yumi Yamamoto, Midori Sakurazawa". I think this has to do with the "characyer settings" check boxes in the challenge settings.
The issue you’re having may be due to how you’re filling in the characters’ names. In our tag set they were entered in {family name, given name} format, so try typing in Tsukuba Akihiro, Yamamoto Yumi, and Sakurazawa Midori. You can also type in part of their name to get suggestions you can click on—all three of those characters are represented in the tag set, so that should help resolve the problem. Though let us know if the issue persists!

Omi Jingu Exchange is Chihayafuru's 1k winter fanfic exchange. Sign-ups are now open and will stay open until February 3rd, so there is plenty of time for you to consider and participate!

You can make two (2) to five (5) requests, with one (1) to ten (10) characters per request. In exchange, you will have to offer at least three (3) characters you feel comfortable writing, and you may offer up to twenty (20) or all of the listed characters. Please do take a look at our tag set to determine which characters you’d like to offer and which you’d like to request.
