You are? I am.

This scene has a particular importance for me … is seeing it that I started shipping them. I don’t know, maybe it’s just me seeing and reading in it too much because I’m an hopeless dreamer and romantic at heart but Jane’s feels are so deep and authentic! He really wants Lisbon to trust him, he seems to me genuinely surprised and a bit hurted by her words. I often thought about the reason why he needed so much Lisbon’s trust. Jane is showed us like a very self confident man, a man used to reach his goals entirely by himself, using his incredible skills. He simply don’t need and don’t trust others, the only one who came under his skin was probabily his wife. So, why did he put all that “scene” to gain Lisbon’s trust? I refuse to think it was just because he needed her to get his revenge. No, he needed her trusting him because he was starting to “feel” something towards her. It wasn’t love at that time, it’s definitely too early to both of them, but the desire to be part of something…a team, a family…to be accepted by them and by Lisbon.                                               He spent so many years  closing himself and now he starts to feel again the desire to be with someone…someone who cares about him and to whom give his trust.                                                                                                            He says “I trust you Lisbon” and I think he’s honest. He knows her good heart and her pure soul and knows she will be at his side. So, instinctively, wants her feel the same towards him. “Lisbon, I want you to know that you can trust me. No matter what happens, I will be there for you” He meant every single words and indeed he was at her side. Of course, none of them was perfect; both of them made mistakes but they were there for each other in spite of everything and this is what really matters.
