Sudden opening in the clouds while in a rainy forest gave the otherwise gray day a bit of sparkle.

These twigs had dried in the sun and lost all their color and sitting next to a field of golden yellow, they provided a nice contrast in color.

I'm quickly becoming a heather photographer. Jokes aside, I do find them very photogenic so in a forest today I couldn't possibly not do few different takes. Here's one that turned out nicely.
