We have been given enough excuses to separate ourselves, we should find a few reason to brings us together.
Open your google feed, MSN news, CBC news (in Canada) and all the other mainstream BS spewing outlets, all you see is death this, death that, shoot this, shot that, drowning, murder, pillage, rape, burglary, loot, accidents, fires⌠You name the worst and you can find it in the news and thatâs only from today.
In the midst of it all, besides the degenerate celebrities complaining about the mindless zombified outlook on their lives, money and failed relationships, there is this new fad going around which apparently is the root of all evil⌠âImmigrantsâ.
The immigrants are apparently coming into other countries and taking over jobs, money, women and most of all space and oxygen. How dare they breath the same air which was only designed for a specific group of people. These are the ones walking around Walmartâs in sandals, with an eighties Motley Crue T-shirt and a âMake America great againâ Baseball cap desperately trying to hide the dirty bald spots (yes, even in Canada), rocking the mullet with a five year old scrunchy that they found under the couch, (You know the ones). These are the ones that have taken upon themselves to remind the masses (mostly immigrants) to go back where they came from.
Been asked the same myself by a similar individual, I literally had no response. Well, first I didnât understand the what was said mostly because his tongue slurred so much that everything sounded like a âGobbleekumfrom!!â (I assumed he was either drunk, or simply stupid). After a few failed attempts I finally understood what he was saying, âGo back to where you came fromâŚâ
At first my reaction was somewhat of a shock, then anxiety kicked in and now I have no words nor a comeback for this. Itâs like being asked a Math question during a biology test. I was speechless, so the first response that came out of my mouth was, âYeah? Why donât you do the sameâ. Then there was some more exchange which was more slurred then the previous, so I decided to walk away and told myself, âreally? I am arguing this?â.
This incident finished for me just as fast as it started, quick and somewhat painless. But unfortunately for some it is neither quick nor painless.
I am all for equality of races and everyone coexisting, but unfortunately all these cases either reported or experienced are done by none other than Caucasian individuals. I am no way castigating a race or stereotyping a group but look at whatâs happening around us, and these are the only ones being reported, recorded or the ones that have come forward. Yes⌠unfortunately they are all the so called blue blooded white individuals.
Imagine the ones that donât come forward because of fear. Is it not our responsibility as human beings to help others in need?
So here are some of the questions I have for the critical thinkers.
1. How do we build a strong diverse community?
2. How do we create strength and perspective in ourselves?
3. How do we prevent Racial and Ethnical divisions?
4. How do we create acceptance for ourselves and our children?
5. Being treated the same? If you treat others differently, then shouldnât you be expected to be treated differently as well? Hate for hate and love for love.
6. Have you ever been bullied? Yes, bullying is discrimination and oppression, (think about it). And this applies everywhere, work, life, relationships and the list goes on.
7. And the biggest question of all⌠Where does it stop? Race, gender, sexual orientation, age, lifestyle, personality, job, life?
8. And who decides?
Is it ok to abuse others based on weakness they have� Is it ok to punish the already suffering� Is it ok to take advantage because we felt like it�
History is full of mistakes that can be learned from but never repeated. I think gone are the days where a few decided the fate of all, where generations grew and perished under the shadows of swords and guns. These few were the ones that divided us by drawing lines on maps and called themselves patriots, nationalists, kings and queens, presidents and ministers. While we all became subjects and slaves.
Once we accept who are, accept that we all came from somewhere, the sooner we can heal ourselves and heal others.
