The moment Maddie saw the look on Oliver’s face, Maddie couldn’t help but be excited about the whole thing. She had this feeling of excitement run through her body and she couldn’t help but feel rather confident with herself. She’d been wanting to do this with him for a while now ever since he told her about his fantasy and the fact that he actually took a job as a pizza delivery boy just to see if he could get laid. The story was rather amusing to her and ever since then, she’d been determined to figure out how she was going to make this possible. How Oliver reacted to everything, caused a smirk on Maddie’s face as she shifted where she stood and moved in a way where her robe, that barely even covered anything, shifted a bit more. He then finally composed himself and the shock of it all sunk in, Maddie grinned and moved her hair away from her shoulder as he moved closer to her. Watching him move her robe aside to reveal more of her breasts, Maddie grinned. She was definitely feeling herself getting even more excited and starting to get wet at the though of him and both of them going through this fantasy. When he started to play along with her, Maddie took his hand and lead her into her house. “What were you planning?” she wondered, cocking her head innocently to the side, before taking the box from him and placing it on the table. Maddie was nervous about the whole thing. After telling Kara her plan and asking Kara to help her with it, Maddie had been waiting by her door nervously. She wanted to surprise Oliver. It was the first time in a while she was able to have some alone time with him without Luke and as much as she loved Luke, Maddie wanted to feel like a young adult again. It was exciting and since she found out about what kind of porn Oliver used to watch, Maddie had been dying to try out this scenario with him, but of course she wanted to surprise him. Thankful that Kara was more than excited to help her out after she explained (embarrassingly enough) why exactly she wanted Oliver coming to her door with a pizza box, Maddie quickly got dressed in the sexiest lingerie and robe she could find so that he would instantly know what she was doing as soon as he opened the door. Jumping when she heard the doorbell, Maddie grinned and peeped through the hole just to make sure that it was Oliver. When it was, she opened it with a sultry smile and leaned against the frame of the door. “Oh, hello, pizza delivery boy,” she greeted him wit a smirk. “I’m so glad you’re here with the pizza I ordered.” Moving a little to make her robe loosen to expose some of what she was wearing underneath, particularly her cleavage, Maddie then frowned. “Unfortunately, I d-don’t have any money with me. Would other payments work?” x

Completely oblivious to what was going on, Oliver was focused on the smell of the pizza as he waited for his girlfriend to answer the door. He tried texting her early, but she hadn’t responded. It was odd, but nothing he concerned himself too much about. And then... it happened. Maddie opened the door and... “Whoa. What... I--” Oliver stumbled over his words before he gulped. Actually gulped. Loudly and cartoony gulped with his eyes bulging out of his head. From the way she greeted him to what she was wearing, Oliver nearly dropped the pizza and died. Just died. Was he dreaming? Was he having another one of those Maddie wet dreams again? He looked down at his pants before (dream?) Maddie began to speak again. His heart nearly dropped out of his ass when the brunette walked closer to him with her robe loosened, enough to reveal her cleavage that was on full display. Oliver’s mouth went dry and no matter how many times he swallowed, it didn’t help.  He looked down at his pants again. Okay, this definitely had to have to be a dream. It was literally a dream of his come true. Back in high school, when Oliver began to work, he had gotten himself a job as a pizza delivery boy. And considering all the... Reaching over with the hand that wasn’t carrying the pizza, he pulled aside her robe further so that her cleavage was sticking out more before he held it open to look at the rest of her body. God, Maddie was so hot that Oliver felt he was going to explode. Her in that lingerie had to be the hottest thing he’d ever seen. “I can think of a few ways of repayment.”

[ x ] I was odd that Kara demanded that he bring a box of pizza to Maddie’s. It was even more odd that when he texted Maddie about this, he received no response. Something was up. Unfortunately, Oliver wasn’t exactly the type to know how to figure that out and frankly, he wasn’t about to. It wasn’t as if hanging out with his girlfriend and having pizza was such a bad combo. He wasn’t complaining. Besides, it was clear he wasn’t going to be getting any answers as to why Kara was the one of all people demanding him about this. He kept asking and she kept shutting him down until he gave up and just went to go grab a pizza. Oliver went to his favorite pizza place and ordered Maddie’s favorite. He wasn’t sure if he was supposed to get anything else, but all Kara said was one box of pizza and for some reason, he felt the need to follow exact orders. For all he knew, his best friend could be watching. After grabbing the pizza, he took an Uber to Maddie’s place where he texted her that he was there before walking up the door and ringing the bell. Oliver waited, bouncing on the balls of his feet until his girlfriend finally opened up.

All of this felt like some kind of dream. Like maybe she was still sleeping and Oliver didn’t wake her up. She was excited knowing that their relationship was progressing. She didn’t feel pressured into doing something she didn’t want to, in fact, Maddie wanted to explore more of their relationship, both moving forward and sexually. It was going at the pace she was comfortable with. Where both of them were able to talk about the things they wanted and adjusted to the nature of their relationship. Oliver made her feel comfortable and safe in the relationship, it was why she didn’t hesitate to say yes when he asked if she wanted to leave her things at his place. Grinning to herself when Oliver stopped speaking once she started to striptease for him, she could feel her cheeks heating up a little as she felt her boyfriend’s eyes on her. No matter how long they’d been together, knowing that Oliver’s eyes were on her and he was giving her that look always caused her cheeks to heat up and feel a little shy.  She gave him a little dance, but before she could remove her underwear, he grabbed her by the waist and brought her back into the bed. Laughing as she fell, she wrapped her arms around him and bringing him closer, Maddie closed her eyes and craned her head to give him more access to her neck. Taking his free hand, she started to lead it down her body, a soft moan leaving her lips as she arched her back. Guiding his hand, she slid it past her panties, groaning at the feel of his fingers caressing her outer lips. “Oliver,” she moaned softly before kissing him back to drown the kiss.

The fact that Oliver wasn’t even moving to comfort her while she was having a panic attack lead Kara to believe Oliver truly hated her. She knew that his biggest weakness was seeing her cry, not that she would ever use that to her advantage, especially at a time like this, but seeing Oliver now and how he kept his distance, Kara felt like her whole world was falling apart. Never did she think she would ever lose Oliver and now she felt that and it was a very real feeling that terrified her. What would happen if they couldn’t be best friends again after all this? How were they going to raise their baby after this? Not only was she going to lose Oliver, her soulmate, but she was going to also lose her grandparents because she knew that they would take his side. Her whole body shook at the thought of losing her best friend and their baby growing up with two separate parents that hardly spoke to one another. She did her best to build a life where everything was perfect and her baby could grown in a loving environment. Oliver being Oliver and their relationship was a big reason why she wanted a child with Oliver. He was the one constant in her life. The only person she could count on. As much as she loved Matt and knew she could count on him, it had always been Oliver that no matter what, would always take her side, even if she was wrong. Now knowing that isn’t the case anymore, Kara felt like her whole world was falling apart.

When he then said that he wasn’t sure he could co-parent with her, Kara began to sob, her breathing became even more laboured. The whole thing felt like some sort of dream she wanted to wake up from. All of a sudden, due to the lack of breathing, she felt like she was getting lightheaded. “I didn’t…” she struggled to say. “Y-You were the only one constant thing in my life. You were the only thing I could rely on completely. Even now, more than Matt, you’re my constant. I-I never thought I could lose you,” she whispered softly. “You were, are, the only person I can rely on more than Matt. You weren’t my pawn. I mean, maybe I thought that when I first moved in but it was never like that after.” Covering her face, Kara started to cry even harder, her body trembling as she tried her best to compose herself. “I-I never… I never thought I would ever lose you. So when you found out about me, I didn’t know how to deal with it and I thought giving you space to just… to just get over it would work. I was a selfish person. The things I did to you, I regret so much.” Wiping her eyes, Kara took a few deep breaths in an effort to calm herself. “I love you so much. I always have and I always will. At the time, all I really knew was myself and protecting myself. I don’t deserve you, but I do love you, Ollie. I love you so much and I don’t know what to do.”

It felt odd, not immediately comforting Kara. It was hard to deny that his best friend was something of a weak spot for him. How could she not be? Without a doubt, Kara was his soulmate. The two of them proved that soulmates didn’t have to be romantic. She was basically his other half, so of course, he’d drop everything for her. And of course, if she were ever upset, he’d be there in a second to comfort her. It was different when he was the caused of her being upset and he, in his own right, had every reason to be saying what he was. It wasn’t like he was intentionally going out of his way to hurt Kara. Was it really considered hurting her when he was only asking for answers? This by no means was an attack on her. Maybe it was harsh to say that he couldn’t co-parent with her, but he was in the right here. If Kara had indeed been taken advantage of him and disregarded his feelings when he felt the most betrayed, then how could he even look her in the face after that? He was obviously hoping for a completely different story, looking for an explanation from her that would help make everything make sense. But he needed to hear from her what exactly was going on. So until he got some straight answers, he’d have to be strong enough to deal with being face to face with a sobbing Kara and not stand his ground. He wanted nothing more than to reach over and hold her and tell her it was all fine, but that would ultimately do more damage between them than any good.

Oliver did step closer to Kara when he noticed her breathing and the struggle she was going through speaking. He felt like the villain here, making her go through this. So that’s why eventually, he no longer could stand around and let her sob like this. It didn’t feel right when she clearly was rather distraught over what was going on between them right now. “Kara...” He sighed, shaking his head before walking to her and wrapping his arms around her, holding her close. He let her bury her face against his shoulder, his hand on the back of her head. They stood there, Oliver holding her against him while she cried. If Oliver knew anything, it would be panic attacks and he knew that it wouldn’t help her if he continued to bombard her with questions and harsh accusations. Now that she understood that he was being completely serious, maybe he didn’t have to be so headstrong. “Kara, I’m sorry,” he said calmly, pulling back so that he could face her. “I know that I’m dropping this on you so suddenly, but I needed this conversation. I need to know.” Both thumbs wiped under each of her eyes, clearing away the old traces of tears as well as the new ones. “I know you love. I know you. Everything you’ve done for me and all the things you do for me, I know that they’re done out of love. I just want to know why after so long, you never came to me. You never had any plan. You just waited. Why wasn’t I worth making an effort for? What if I chose not to speak to you for a year. We didn’t just go a few days without speaking, Kara. Was it because you had Matt and I didn’t matter so much? Because you always saw me as some weak person, you knew I’d break first? You knew I was too nice and eventually I’d take the blame? What was it?”

Staring at her son’s beautiful face, Kara couldn’t help but cry. It was hard not to when the one thing she’d been imagining for what seemed like forever was finally in front of her. He was much more beautiful than she could have ever pictured; perfect in every way. Although she couldn’t really tell who he looked like, as really, he just looked like a regular baby, Kara felt so much love for him that it was almost suffocating. When Oliver asked if the could hold him, her whole body was trembling with giddiness at the thought of finally getting to hold their son. Looking at Oliver and seeing that look on his face, the way that he was crying tears of happiness caused Kara’s heart to swell even more. She’d never seen her best friend this happy before and she was glad she was part of the reason he was this happy. When Dr. Ford had come over and carefully placed Luke in her arms as she laid on the operating room table, Kara sucked in a breath. Being so up close to her baby was such a surreal feeling, it felt almost like she was still dreaming and that she would wake up soon. “Hi, baby,” she whispered softly, scared that if she was any louder it would frighten him. “Hi, I’m your mom.” Examining every part of him that she could, she traced her fingertips along his nose and crying even more. “You’re so beautiful,” she whispered to him as she stared at those same blue eyes that matched hers. She didn’t even care that he was fussy or looked like he was on the verge of crying. “He has your nose,” Kara pointed out, after a lot more staring. She then looked at Oliver and continued to cry even more before then motioning for him to hold Luke. She could vaguely hear the doctors telling her that she was done her surgery and that they would soon be moving her back to her room. “Here, Ollie,” she said, raising Luke a little for him to hold their son.

Between seeing Kara being just as happy as he was and seeing his son up close once he was placed in Kara’s arms, Oliver wasn’t sure if he would ever stop crying. He had never felt this kind of happiness before. It was surreal. For someone who grew up with nothing but the worst kind of things happening to him, his life as of late had taken a complete 180 turn. From meeting Kara and becoming best friends with her to being lucky enough to date Maddie and now this - he could have sworn he died and went to a Heaven he didn’t believe in the first place. He watched with wide eyes as his best friend cradled their baby boy. Seeing all this, Oliver could swear his heart was swelling three sizes. So immersed in the sight, he didn’t even care to grab his camera. He’d do that later. Right now, he wanted to enjoy this moment right here with his best friend and his son. Besides, Kara would smack him anyway. But it was beautiful, seeing the way she already was with Luke. Immediately, he was noticing all the ways Luke looked like Kara, the features that were hers that were now his as well. It was still way too early to tell exactly who he looked like the most. Babies tended to look the same for the first few months. Or at least that’s what he read online. He read that it would be a while until their son would have a more distinctive face. Either way, he was beautiful. Absolutely perfect and beautiful. Oliver was broken from his thoughts when Kara mentioned how Luke had his nose. He gasped, leaning down a little to get a better look. “You really think so?” he asked, hopeful she was telling the truth. Then it was his turn to hold their son and he shook a little with excitement and nerves. But as soon as the boy was in his arms, he was tearing up again. Holding and feeling Luke made it even more real. “Oh my god, Kara. He really is so beautiful,” he commented half whispered. Leaning down, he gave the baby boy a soft kiss on his forehead. “Luke, I am your father,” he told the boy, looking back at Kara and laughing through his tears. “Sorry, sorry. I couldn’t help it.”

Before Maddie could say anything, she noticed Oliver moving closer to her until he had her pressed against one of the shelves. The action caused her to blush, her face heating as all she could think about was how close her boyfriend was to her and how much she wanted him but at the same time, how anyone could walk by and see them now. Placing her hands on his waist, Maddie’s heart began to beat rapidly at his words, also causing her to shiver and bit her bottom lip. The idea of him having his way with her right then and there was definitely an appealing idea that caused some aching between her legs. At this point, Maddie hardly cared if there was anyone that could pass by or watch them. Her eyes fluttered closed and she kissed him eagerly, completely forgetting that they were in a public place, or she just didn’t care anymore. Moving her arms so that she was now wrapping her arms around his neck and pulling him even closer. Maddie was even about to hook her leg around his when she heard a someone clearing their throat, pulling her from her fantasies. Her face started to redden, Maddie biting the inside of her cheek and hiding her face on Oliver’s chest from embarrassment. Shaking her head and laughing, Maddie pushed him gently and slipping away from him before then continuing on. “Th-That’s to be continued,” she informed him with a smirk. The shocked and scandalized look on his face when she showed him the veggie chips made her laugh. It was cute how unaware her boyfriend was of the healthy foods. “Th-The same way that potatoes are made into chips,” she answered as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. “These ones happen to be my favourite.” Maddie grabbed a couple bags of the veggie chips and placed them in the cart.

Hearing Maddie claim that their little hot and heavy session was to be continued, he couldn’t help but laugh while excitement coursed through him. He couldn’t deny that he felt a tad bit disappointed that their making out was cut short because of that lady. Sex in public wasn’t even something Oliver ever considered, but since Maddie, many things had crossed his mind. Many, many things. It didn’t help that Kara was his best friend and Kara was like, the most experienced sexual person he had ever met and she wasn’t shy to tell Oliver all about it. It made him even more curious to try things. But none of that were things that he should be thinking about right now in the middle of the grocery store. So the boy cleared his throat and slipped his arm around her waist. Focusing back on the bag of supposed veggie chips, he still looked at made with disbelief. It was hard for him to wrap his mind around chips made out of vegetables. Who wouldn’t even want such a thing? “Wait, what? These are your favorite? Seriously? Why not just have vegetables? Or chips? I’m sorry, but it doesn’t sound appealing.” He smiled, watching Maddie take some bags before he grabbed himself one and put it in the cart. “But I’ll try it anyway. If you like it, it’s worth giving a chance.” He gave her a squeeze and kissed her head before using his other hand to gesture forward. “Anything else?” he asked, peaking over towards the cart to see everything that was meant for him. “I gotta be honest, I think this is all I can take when it comes to healthy food. Might wanna take it slow on me, you know?”

Aside from getting to finally hold and meet their baby boy, Kara was extremely excited for her pregnancy to be over so that she could not only get her body back but also get her hormones back in control. She sometimes just felt like a completely different person. She cried nearly all the time over the stupidest things too. At one point she started to cry because she hadn’t seen her feet in days and started wearing sandals as they were more comfortable than heels. Granted, for Kara, that actually was something to cry about as she was hardly ever seen without some sort of heels. After their conversation, Kara still felt on edge about the whole thing. She felt this constant need to apologize and thanks to her hormones, Kara cried even more just looking at Oliver and knowing the things she’d done to him. “I know but still,” she whispered, her bottom lip trembling as she felt the need to cry again when the guilt set in once more. Laughing slightly when he started to tease her, Kara shook her head and placed a hand on her stomach. “I’m totally joking,” she confirmed. “I’m poor now that I have school and I only work part time. You’re the one making all the big bucks.” Kara then shrugged. “It’s fine. I can drive.” Gasping when she felt the baby kick, Kara grinned and took Oliver’s hand. “You feel that?”

Even after forgiving her and telling her that it was all okay because he understood, he could tell that she was struggling not to cry again. This was basically a common thing since Kara showed the signs of being pregnant. This was her biggest sign, all the hormonal imbalance going on. Noticing this, he wiped under her eyes some more and kissed her cheek softly, reassurin g her that it was all okay. Then he saw her laughing and even if it was a small one, it was enough for him. Oliver’s eyes immediately went down to her stomach when she placed a hand on it. He loved watching her do that. It probably sounded creepy or weird and he’s never outright admitted that to Kara, but he couldn’t help but smile whenever she did that. It was like her already cradling their baby before he was born. It was just one of those nice little moments he enjoyed seeing. “True. I am big time now. Soon enough, I’ll be too busy with taking photos of Beyonce that I won’t even remember who you are.” He laughed, opening the door for her until she talked about how the baby was kicking. The boy’s eyes went wide, his smile bright with excitement and happiness. “Do you think that means he’s excited to hear us?” he asked his best friend, hopefulness filling his voice as he leaned in closer to Kara’s stomach where he was slowly rubbing it. “Hey, you. Thank you for that.”

The longer it was having the baby inside her, the harder it was getting for Kara to control her emotions. She wanted nothing more than to punch things sometimes and it made her wonder if that was how Matt felt way before they were together whenever something was pissing him off. She had a feeling that was what he was like where one second he was fine and then something brushes up against him and all of a sudden he was throwing hands, a lot like when he beat up Oliver. She did her best and tried her hardest to calm down, remind herself that this was not her and that she was going to hurt a lot of people and they were going to get tired of her. She’d never seen Oliver angry and frankly, she never wanted to see him angry ands he had a feeling if she kept carrying on the way that she was now, Kara was going to see her best friend angry at some point. Feeling his arms around her, Kara sighed and buried her face in the croook of his neck, feeling her eyes starting to tear up. Again, she was hit with a wave of emotions that made everything so hard to keep control and Kara had to do a couple deep breaths. “I- I would never hurt you like that,” she whispered, pulling away and rubbing her eyes, completely forgetting that she had make up on. She was sure that her make up was a complete mess and that she looked like some type of raccoon. “Everything is just so damn hard and I feel like I’m losing myself,” she whispered and sighed, pulling back and taking his hand. “Do you want to go to Sonic’s? I promise, I’ll pay,” she joked. “I think I need some fresh air.”

As soon as he felt her burying her face into the crook of his neck, Oliver knew that things were calming down. He knew he didn’t have to be so on edge anymore. Which made it easier to comfort Kara. She tried to reassure him that she would never hurt him and Oliver knew that. He knew that Kara would never especially after that last conversation they had. He trusted her more than ever. It was just that sometimes, her hormonal rage got a little out of hand. But at the end of the day, he knew Kara better. Besides, seeing her ruin her makeup like this, Oliver knew she meant her apology. Yeah, half of this crying was because of the hormones, but he knew she was still guilty over everything. “Hey, Kara. I get it. It’s fine. I know when it’s hormonal Kara and regular Kara. Don’t worry. I know you wouldn’t be this mean to me. Just a little mean.” He wiped away her tears and gave her this small smile. Taking her hand when she grabbed his, he gave it a squeeze before he looked at her with furrowed brows. “Wait, you’re joking right? Since when were you gonna pay? Sounds... Fake,” Oliver teased her, nudging her side gently. He helped her as they got outside, even helping her when they reached her car. “Are you sure you want to drive?”

Kara felt her heart breaking with everything that he was saying. She didn’t know what to say. For once in her life, she was at a loss for words and she had this sinking feeling her chest like, once they were done with this conversation, their relationship was never going to be the same and it was for the worst. Like, Oliver was going to love her a little less and the very thought terrified her more than she could have ever imagined. She felt this pain in her chest as if she was going to start suffering a panic attack or something. Was this something Oliver felt often? How the hell did he survive life with this constant feeling? Kara didn’t know how to feel or what to think if Oliver didn’t love her anymore or loved her less. The thought was just too much for her and her whole body started to tremble. Then he started to ask her questions she couldn’t answer in that desperate tone that caused her heart to break even more. He hit the final nerve that was keeping her together when he asked her why she wasn’t different and pointed out that she was like everyone else in his life that had taken advantage of him. Kara prided herself in not being one of those people. She loved Oliver enough that the thought of hurting him broke her. Fully sobbing at this point when Oliver dropped that bomb, Kara’s whole body crumpled and she was now covering her hands with her face while she continued to sob. She was worse than the people that tormented him because she claimed to love him yet did this. “I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry,” she repeated over and over, looking at him with a pathetic look. She was almost about to hug him when she stopped herself feeling as if she didn’t deserve to touch him. “We still would have remained friends. I love you too much to lose you. You are my whole world. I’m so sorry.”

On top of this being one hell of a heavy topic, Kara had to deal with all the pregnancy hormones. From first hand experience, the hormones alone were one hell of a thing to deal with. It was like a switch. One minute she was fine and the next she was crying or ready to bite his head off. It was a gamble bringing this up right now. He could either make her cry really hard or have her end up killing him. It could really go either way. Oliver couldn’t choose which option was the better one. That was until he witnessed how hard she was crying, the panicked look on her face. Right then and there, death seemed like the better option. “Kara...” he sighed, watching the way her shoulders shook with an intensity he never saw on her. It almost seemed like she was on the verge of a panic attack. It was a good thing he was well experienced in this, but this wasn’t what he had wanted. It was hard to watch. It wasn’t often he saw Kara like this, but Oliver knew that it was probably mostly the hormones. He figured there was no way she’d cry this much when it came to him. Knowing this helped with not giving in. 

They needed to have this conversation. This couldn’t be something that was put in the back burner. He needed this, especially with them about to be parents. Noticing the way she almost walked towards him, he clenched his jaw and glanced away. It made it easier to not close the gap between them and hug her. “Don’t do that, Kara. I--” He sighed again, shaking his head until finally looking back at his best friend. “I know you’re sorry. That’s... That was never the question. I just need to know--I need to know why. I need to know what was going through your head. I need to know why you treated me the way that you did.” Oliver looked at the blonde with tears in his eyes, threatening to spill over his cheeks. “I don’t think--Kara, I don’t think I can co-parent with you knowing that you’ll never love me the same way I love you. That I don’t hold a significant amount in your life the way you do mine. I don’t think we can be us anymore if all along, I was just another one of your pawns.”

“Oh s-stop, you’re just trying to get into my pants with all those compliments,” Maddie teased and winked at him. Maddie, for once, was thankful for all the wife training her mother had given her as a child and taught her how to cook. She never really cared if she knew how to cook or not or if it was good until she started cooking for Oliver. She lived for his compliments, enjoying the fact that he actually liked them and wanted more of her cooking. She knew that Oliver ate just about anything but the fact that he enjoyed some of her healthier cooking, Maddie knew that Oliver definitely enjoyed her cooking. It wasn’t as if Oliver was a good enough actor to pretend to like her healthier cooking. “Who’s to say though that I haven’t already been feeding you healthy f-foods?” Maddie asked with a raised brow. “That chicken you ate last night, yeah, not real chicken,” Maddie joked. Sometimes, Maddie wondered how Oliver managed to maintain his body while still eating junk food. It felt like as soon as Maddie even just licked an ice cream she was already gaining ten pounds. It wasn’t fair. Maddie rolled her eyes as he continued to tease her about sounding like Matt, making her playfully shove him. “Don’t b-be mean to me or I’ll stop cooking fro you.” The look on Oliver’s face when she revealed that baked didn’t exactly mean organic. Walking towards one of the chips that had ‘organic’ written all over the bag, Maddie handed it to him. “That’s organic.”

Oliver laughed, shaking his head before quickly bringing her in for a short kiss on the corner of her lips. “I’d say, that’s offensive, but it’s very true.” Here, he gave his girlfriend this rather mischievous smirk as he began to slightly press her up against the shelves, while making sure not to knock anything down. This was mostly to tease her, though he obviously didn’t mind being pressed against her like this. “I was hoping to sweet talk you enough that you’ll let me have my way with you right here - in the middle of the organic aisle at the grocery store.” His slender fingers grasped her chin firmly, leaning in to kiss her a lot deeper than one should be kissing in a grocery store. And someone wasn’t afraid to let them know, Oliver hearing someone loudly clear their throat behind them. Embarrassed, the boy’s cheeks turned red as he pulled away from his girlfriend and saw the older woman giving them a look. “Sorry,” Oliver muttered, turning to Maddie as soon as the woman walked away. “Oops.” He laughed, when he turned to his girlfriend, giving her a quick kiss on the cheek. “Well, then. I guess that means we should probably continue with the shopping, right?” He scrunched up her nose until he followed her while she walked towards something. Once she handed him a bag of something, he looked it over and made a face. “What the hell is this? What are veggie chips? That’s impossible, you can’t make vegetables into chips.”

Blushing when she realized that she was probably repeating the word ‘excited’ a little too much and Oliver was teasing her for it, Maddie scrunched her nose and stuck her tongue out at her boyfriend. She couldn’t help it, this was the happiest she’d ever been with Oliver. It seemed as if it was nothing but happiness for her with him and she couldn’t help it. Oliver was the perfect boyfriend. Sure, they had some setbacks, like Oliver and Kara having a child and Oliver being barred from having sex, but other than that, it seemed as if their relationship was nothing but flawless. It was so easy, Maddie knew that this thing with Oliver was meant to be and she knew that it was going to be forever. Of course she never voiced that with Oliver, not yet, but she had a feeling he felt the same way too. The way that he was looking at her as he told her that he loved her warmed Maddie’s chest, causing her heart to speed up. She could honestly never get tired of the way Oliver looked at her, this love and awe he often had on his face whenever he looked at her. Maddie then shook her head as he kissed the tip of her nose. “No, no, I’m d-definitely starting today!” she exclaimed, getting up from the bed and standing so that she was at the end of the bed. “Starting with these,” she said with a smirk before slowly removing her top and swaying a little as she started to remove her bottom as well. Imagining she was in a photoshoot that required her to be seductive, Maddie gave him the best seductive look she could muster as she chewed on her bottom lip.

Oliver wanted to make sure that Maddie felt no pressure whatsoever. He knew that he was sort of springing this on her and he didn’t want her to feel any sort of obligation or pressure to agree. If she didn’t want to move on like this right now, he would have been okay with that. He would have been sad, but okay with it nonetheless. If she wanted to take things slower, that would also okay. Considering how long he had made her wait for him back before they started dating, it was the least he could do - wait for her. Luckily, however, that didn’t need to happen. Oliver believed her when she said she was excited about this. He believed her when she said she was ready to start leaving some of her things now. He couldn’t lie, it made him the most happiest man alive. “Hey, I’m definitely not gonna be st--Holy shit.” Oliver was mid sentence when his incredibly hot girlfriend decided it was a great time to get up and start... Well, she was essentially stripping, removing her top with... Wow, Oliver really couldn’t form any words right now. And why was his mouth dry suddenly? His heart raced at this little strip tease, his breath hitching in his throat and his body heating up. All of this only increasing when she removed her bottoms as well, her body moving in such an enticing way that he couldn’t take his eyes off. Not that he wanted to to begin with. And fuck, the look she was giving him... He forgot how to breathe. Was he dead? He was pretty sure he was dead. “W--You drive me crazy,” he muttered, his eyes roaming every inch of her body before he stood up and grabbed her by the waist, bringing her back down onto the bed, the bodies bouncing together on the mattress. “You’re just asking for it, aren’t you?” he whispered, his lips attaching themselves to the side of her neck.

Despite Oliver’s best attempts, Kara could read him like a book and she could see the way his face would twist telling her that something was definitely going on with her lower half. Closing her eyes to keep herself from reading into it too much, she gripped his hand, not because she even felt anything in her lower half, but she was all imagining it in her head. She’d seen the videos and how brutal it could be, Kara could only imagine it and even though Oliver continued on about what he had planned for their baby, Kara was rarely paying attention to it. The blonde was far too preoccupied with the thoughts and imagery of someone cutting her open to pull out a five plus pound baby out of her. Before she could think any further, they’d removed the little divider keeping her from seeing the surgery then she heard her son’s cries and it was as if the world had stopped. Kara raised her head up a little, with the help of a nurse and soon started to cry when she saw her baby boy in the doctor’s arms. “Oh my god,” she gasped, squeezing Oliver’s hand even tighter, but this time from excitement.  “Ollie,” she whispered in awe, Luke’s cries sounding like music to her ears. “Ollie, that’s our baby! That’s our son.” Kara couldn’t believe it. The baby she imagined for over a year was now in front of her, crying happily and already squirming around. As happy as she was about her son, Kara felt this lump in her throat realizing that their son was no longer going to always be with her twenty-four seven. She felt empty. “Our baby’s beautiful,” she whispered to her best friend, her eyes watching Luke as the doctors moved to clean him. “Congratulations, mom and dad, you have a healthy baby boy. Eight pounds, ten ounces,” Dr. Forbes announced, making Kara cry even harder. “Ollie, that’s our baby.”

This entire procedure may not be performed on him, but it may as well have been with the look on his face and the unsettling feeling in the pit of his stomach. He knew that Kara was by far getting the worst of it. She was the one having to deal with all of it. But boy did he feel this phantom pain simply watching this whole thing go down. He was going to buy Kara a truckload of shoes after this. Holding her hand tightly like he was the one who needed it, he practically held his breath as the doctors muttered medical jargon to one another. It wasn’t as if he’d pay attention anyway if he understood any of it. There were other things he was focusing on. Feeling lightheaded, he wished he knew how much longer until... “We got him.” Oliver gasped, his heart spiking when he heard that beautiful, sweet, perfect cry of a baby boy. Suddenly everything froze and all he wanted to do was grab his baby and cry. The look on his face was all over the place until he glanced down at Kara who was crying and excited and calling for his attention. He smiled at her and it was like he no longer could hold it in. The tears began to brim underneath his eyes. “Kar, it’s...” He couldn’t even finish the sentence, words lost on him like he had lost the ability to speak. Instead, he chose to hold her as he leaned in to kiss her cheek. That was surely enough to show her what he was currently feeling. When the doctor came over to them to announce the weight of their son, Oliver reached down to squeeze Kara’s hand again. “Ca--Can we hold him yet?” he asked, his voice squeaking with emotion. The doctor smiled at him and nodded, disappearing to only appear back in a matter of seconds, this time with the most beautiful baby Oliver had ever laid his eyes on. “Oh my god. Kara, that’s...” He looked down at his best friend, tears now streaming down his cheeks like a faucet. “That’s him. He’s perfect.”

The whole ordeal left a bitter taste in Maddie’s mouth but after her conversation with Matt, she wasn’t so bitter anymore. There was no point in it. Kara won and she got what she wanted out of her boyfriend. She also knew that she had hurt Matt all because she was horny and so she didn’t get as annoyed or angry about it anymore. Maddie didn’t want to be that kind of person as she knew that her boyfriend was in an impossible situation himself. Chewing on her bottom lip when Oliver told her that he received nothing from Kara, she kept herself busy so that she didn’t say anything mean. At this point, Maddie was ready to pray for some sort of miracle. She was literally ready to ask God to let her have sex with her boyfriend, even if it was supposedly a sin. Still scrolling through her phone, when his phone buzzed, especially this late at night, Maddie knew that it could only mean Kara. She held her breath though, scared that it was Kara saying she didn’t get laid, but when she heard Oliver’s reaction, Maddie knew what that meant. Did her conversation with Matt work? Before she could think any further about it, Oliver’s lips where pressed against hers in a rushed and desperate way. She copied that same need, her hands immediately going to wanter his shirt before trying to take it off. “Y-You don’t have to ask me twice,” she murmured against his lips, breaking the kiss to quickly take off her clothes. She didn’t even care where she threw them or how clumsy she was taking it off, all she cared about was that it was off. It wasn’t long until she was pressing her lips against his again, her hands working the bottom of his shirt before lifting it off him.

His words cut her deep. It felt like someone was stabbing her heart over and over and she could feel the tears starting to sting her eyes. Kara was scared to cry though. She knew that the moment she started crying, Oliver was going to soften his stance and it was going to seem like she was just trying to get out of this conversation. That became almost impossible though when talked about how she used him and took advantage of him. His words caused her to wince, making Kara look down at her lap and a stream of tears started to flow from her eyes. It was impossible to look at Oliver. The shame she felt after Oliver admitted that she had been a terrible person caused her to feel like her chest was constricting. She tried to be the best person she could be. With all these people in her life that meant the world to her, Kara wanted to be the best for them. She knew that she was selfish. It was how she’d grown up to be like. If she didn’t look out for herself, who else would? For the longest time, the only person that mattered to Kara was herself. It was a hard adjustment when Matt and Oliver came into her life that caused her to open up her world. Still, she failed at times, especially when it came to Oliver and she knew how she handled the whole thing was not the best. “I-I’m s-sorry,” she mumbled, her voice quivering as she rubbed her eyes. “I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I’m sorry for everything I did,” she said, finally looking at her best friend. “I didn’t… I didn’t know. I love you so much and you mean the world to me. I didn’t mean to treat you the way I did. I was selfish and I was… I was protecting myself. All that mattered was protecting myself and I’m so sorry.”

Oliver had prepared himself for this conversation in more ways than one. He didn’t just prepare what he was going to say, but he also prepared himself for her reaction. He had been ready for the worst. It was a heavy conversation. One they needed to have, but nonetheless a tough one. So he prepared himself for either the anger Kara would have or for her tears. Both bad circumstances for the boy, hence the preparation. Radha helped a lot with that because he knew that when it came to Kara, it was easy for him to just give in to her. He’d be apologizing for making her angry or sad. He’d put the blame back on himself and the whole conversation would have been useless to begin with and he knew that he needed this for his own mental health. In order for this to work between them, they needed to address things that neither of them even knew they needed to. When the tears began to brim under her eyes, he had to look away, inhaling deeply to remind himself to hold his ground. They needed this. He needed this. “I... I-I don’t need...” He sighed, clearing his throat and trying to get his straight again so he could speak properly. “I’m not bringing this conversation up with you because I want an apologize. I don’t doubt that you’re sorry now. I don’t think... I don’t hate you for what you did, if that’s what you’re worried about.” He was able to look back at Kara, playing with his hands out of nerves. “I want to know why you never cared about me as much as you cared about Matt. I want to know why you’ve never cared about me as much as I cared about you. I want to know why you were okay when I was... all alone. When you left me alone and never came back. You... We... If we didn’t catch each other by accident, we would have even still be friends? You never had any intentions of seeing me again. You didn’t. It was all on me even though it was your fault.” His breath came in shaky, his heart pounding as he looked down at his lap. “Why did you take advantage of my kindness? Why did you use me to make yourself feel better? We went months without speaking, Kara, and it was okay because you took advantage of the kind of person I am just like everyone else has done. Why? Why weren’t you different?”
