The section explains the Geologic, Hydrologic & Meteorologic processes acting upon the site - to which the Pier responds. Each condition is a dynamic time based process - occupying different frequencies.

The Pleasure Pier, in responding to a variety of site specific environmental conditions, will add to an existing network of monitoring structures, sited across London. Fixed onto the Prime Meridian, the Pier takes on the role of an observatory - the new Greenwich Observatory.
