My Fender James Burton Telecaster catches some late afternoon sun.
I bought this beautiful 1964 Kay Red Devil Speed Demon a couple of years ago. Such nice condition!
My tattoos depict myself as my nickname (Old Man Roo) watching over my two boys, Daniel and Jordan, aka Wallaby and Joey respectively. I wanted truly Australian art to depict my love for my two sons, and this fabulous country. There’s nothing more truly Australian to me than Australian animals and Aboriginal art. I commissioned the original artwork from an Aboriginal artist, known as Gundagai, for this purpose. He said he was happy for a non Aboriginal person like myself to have his artwork as a tattoo. I eventually chose Alien Art at Mayfield, NSW, to do the work. Jade Lomax did the tattoos in one full day, and added the traditional colours, devising the colour scheme as she worked. I’m very pleased with her work.
