Older than the Earth

They are things that I understand and they never will be able to.

And somethings would be dangerous for them to know currently.

Some day, farrrrrrrr into the future, they *may* figure it out with science, but if that happens, they should be at a point where they can be trusted with that knowledge.

And there are a fewer things still, that they must never know, because they aren't for humans to know.

A minute. A week. A decade.

They don't mean much when one measures their existence in astrological and geological eras.

As things go, this solar system is a fairly young one and it's dominant species is a toddler compared to others, their culture, newborn.

In a way, they're amusing to watch, like babies learning to walk and toddling around, uncoordinated and clumsy.

In others, they're concerning, even dangerous, like a bumbling fool unaware of his own ignorance and the threat he poses.

*slow head shake*

I have a fondness for this planet

Though not for its dominant species

Quite the opposite infact

A distain

This planet used to be so beautiful

A rare jewel in the cosmos

Until they came along

Pollution

Pain

Panic

Prejudice

When I say I hate the human race

Those words are wholly inadequate

They are a virus

Woe betide the universe when they become truly mobile galactically

More names than I care to remember

The only ones I do are my first and a few from lives that were significant to me

You don't exist for as long as I have and not accumulate many names

Some are in recorded history

Along side some great names who you were charged with guiding through their life

It's been an interesting one for sure

And for as long as I have existed

I still have at least that much time ahead of me yet

You would have thought that someone who has been around as long as I have

Seen all that I've seen

Done all that I've done

Witnessed and experienced all that I have

That I'd be bored of existence and seen it all

But there is always something new

Always something different
