Everything I hated About Stranger Things
Since the show is officially over and I'm insanely fucking pissed off on how it ended I decided to create a list of everything I hated about the show. Enjoy!
Mike doesn't have a personality outside of El
Will being an insanely important character in the first 2 seasons only to be sidelined in 3 and 4 and then becoming important again in 5
The Russia storyline in s4 being way to long and overdramaticized
A/B/C plots
Main group (Dustin, Mike, Will, Lucas) barely interacting
New characters and then killing them off in the same season they were introduced
The fear of killing off main characters
Hopper coming back to life after his "death" in season 3
which brings me to overuse of fakeout deaths
The whole military subplot in s5 (oh my goodness it was so stupid and unnecessary)
Dropped storylines (ie Jonathan's pothead phase, Ted Wheeler being useless)
Extremely long episodes that aren't even that good
Eleven losing powers consistently
The show taking more of a supernatural direction when it was originally sci-fi/mystery
Overly dramatic unrealistic teen monologues/dialogue
Jonathans character regression
2x7 don't even get me fucking started on this episode
Overusing/recycling of tropes
Unbalanced character screentime (ahem season 4)
Way too many fucking characters in season 4
Why do we need to care about Holly again?
the sense that the Duffers made everything up as they went
Release schedule gaps (why does it take 3 years to film 8 episodes)
too many coincidences and plot armor
Repetitive finales
Nancy not giving a shit about Jonathan's stalking tendencies in s1
The speed of bones healing
The amount of pain and injuries these characters can take and not pass out and are able to fight back (basically unrealistic writing)
The unnecessary Jason/Basketball team trying to find Eddie plot which wasn't even finished
inconsistency in the upside down: in the first season they couldn't go in without hazmat suits and stuff and now they just walk in
CLICHES, CLICHES, CLICHES
