Junior hadnât needed to wait for him, but it did make Omarr feel special.
His eyes stayed locked on the shore, worrying his bottom lip until he felt fingers at his chin. A little shiver ran down his spine. When people did this back home Omarr never liked it but Junior was different; He liked when Junior touched him. He didnât make Omarr feel small, or like a child, or like an objectâŚÂ
ââŚI canât swimâŚâ the hybrid admitted, âAt least not⌠Not like this.â he motioned to his body. ââ But as long as my head stays above water Iâll be ok!â He wanted to go into the water, even if he was a little scared to.

junior smiles, his thumb tracing along his jaw. âyou donât need to know how to swim,â he assures, âthe shore should stay shallow quite a waysâbut if it does drop off, i would help to keep you afloat.â his hand falls away. âlearning to swim is quite simple, too, i can teach you.â
Omarr offered a small smile, face involuntarily turning towards Juniorâs touch. âPromise?â He knew Junior wouldnât let anything happen to him; it was more of a selfish request â to hear the other man say heâd be there for him again.
And the swimming was fun (or wading with Juniorâs help) until Junior took his hand and ushered him out of the water. He looked back over his shoulder catching sight of Percy and red on the dock as they moved further away from the lake, âAre we going somewhere?â He asked before his gaze returned to Junior and he pulled them to a brief stop, taking one of Juniorâs hands in both of his now. âWhatâs wrong?â
