Oh, ‘course not. Would I ever suggest such a thing? Y’know how much I love this place.

I usually try to avoid the library at all costs because silence just about drives me mad, but I reckon now’s as good a time as any to start using it.

The silence is sometimes nice though and refreshing when your head is bursting from teachers and people and all that bla bla bla. 

A good time for doing your homework or just staring at certain people?

I can’t tell whether you’re laughing at me or with me.

Guess that's for me to know and you to never find out. 

(Mary smirked at him, not really knowing why but she was in a happy mood and feeling playful.)

My ‘fangirls’ generally help me out on other ways…

(Mary was lauging so hard that the librarian came over, SHH'D her and then stomped off murmuring swears under her breath.)

Oh-Yes-I'm sure they do.

(Mary was laughing slightly as she smiled at him, clapping her hands together.)

I'm sure one of your fangirls would gladly help you out. 

Oh, y’know, the amazing company.

{He flashed her a cheeky, teasing wink, before slipping into the seat opposite.}

Nah, it’s the amount of bloody homework they expect us to do this year- usually I’d stay up in my dorm and get it done, but I thought I’d give the library a shot.

Are you suggesting that the library isnt the funnest place to be? That's simply absurd.

Books. {Obviously he was being sarcastic.} I just love them. In fact, I can’t get enough of them.

I’m not a fighter, Mary! I don’t know any offensive spells, and do you know how long it takes me to learn one spell at a time? Can you guess? I had to relearn talking.I had to relearn how to know when someone’s behind me in friendly manner. And you want me to know when someone is behind me, waiting to kill me, too? I’m not allowed in Britannia army, why would I be here? 

(Mary had completely forgot about that fact and her eyes went wide and she turned, grabbing his arm.)

Jesse, Oh my gosh-I am such an awful person-I am so sorry! Please. I just-got so overwhelmed and-I'm so sorry. You have it so much harder and it was so rude, mean and unreasonable of me to say those things to you. I am so so sorry. Merlin. I can't believe how much of a cow I wa.

(Mary covered her face, so emabrassed.)

Potions and I don’t mix, Mary.. it’s as simply as that…

That's like me and Defence. I tried a hex once and I was the one who ended up with pink hair and yellow eyebrows.

No problem. You know, if you ever need to talk about anything-I'm here. Anything at all.

{Mary gave her a smile and bit her lip.}

Me, fighting? Mary, I admire you a lot. But I’ll probably just go back when we graduate. It’s not fear, it’s logic. If it were a chess game, we might have a chance, but let’s face it. We’re not pawns nor kings, just targets.

So...you're telling me that you're going to sit back and do nothing and let everyone else do the work. The people who are fighting for people like us. And you're going to do..nothing.

They’re certainly amusing that’s for sure, and their friendship and loyalty to each other is rather admirable.

{Lily grimaces a bit at the sound of /his/ name, for the most part she prefers to avoid this conversation topic, but she shrugs as if it has no effect on her.} We’re not on speaking terms, no. I learned a long while ago it was no use surrounding myself with that sort of negativity. I thought I knew him, thought I could save him, but he chose his path and I chose mine.

I was partners with him in Charms and he asked me...about you. Asked how you were.

{Mary bit her lip, rolling on her heels a little.}

Thank you, you are very kind to me. Though I think blue makes me look a bit washed out. Why would I put a J on it? I know who I am. 

I don’t know. There might be one where I’m not muggleborn. 

....Don't say things like that. That's how they want us to think. That we shouldn't want to be who we are. That we don't belong here. Because we do. This is just as much our world as theirs and saying stuff like that isn't helping anything or anyone.
