#when I lived in Hackensack I was surrounded by Italian and Latino catholics just like this #had classmates talk about how their family doesn't attend mass #and in the same breath say their grandma was going to light a candle and pray to a saint thay our school fundraiser goes well #it was a little jarring to move to Virginia and meet Filipino Catholics who practiced #albeit forcwd to by parents and/or grandparents #a lot of them are now not Catholic Catholics
