After a hectic day of qualification under cloudless skies, more of the same would turn out to be true for the two Grand Prix races, with twenty-eight degrees forecast. Etienne Bax and Kaspars Stupelis did not have a trouble-free qualification, but were out bright and early for morning warm-up, and lapped fastest of all thirty-two crews in the early stages.

After a successful campaign in the 2018/19 FIA World Endurance Championship, Fernando Alonso and TOYOTA GAZOO Racing will join forces for a series of tests with the Toyota Hilux, the car that is expected to compete in the next Dakar Rally.
