Story Time
I am the oldest of 3 sisters, i was 16 years old when my baby sister was born, from that day on i was in charge of her, i bathe her, fed her, changed her diapers, she even slept with me. Her very first words were my name and i love her to death because i mean come on i am her 2nd mom. My story however is about the not so joyful things you go through when you are raising your sister. Now most girls growing up tend to like things like princesses or Dora or any other Disney crap (i know my other sister did) but no, not my baby sister. Her first ever obsession wasn’t any princess movie (which i love princess movies btw) nope it was………….wait for it……………………..Shrek. I fucking kid you not what my little 2 year old sister adored more than me in this world was Shrek. Do you have any idea what is to watch that movie over and over and over again almost all day every day? i knew every word of it, every song, i knew everything. I was living a nightmare and every night before bed i would try to persuade her into watching something else. “this is a princess movie” i would say “she’s pretty she sings, don’t you want to be a princess? lets watch this instead” ah but it was to no avail, her little eyes would fill with tears and her lower lip would tremble before whimpering “I wan shwek” and then she would burst out crying and screaming “shwek shwek shwek” it was like a tiny demon asking for her sacrifice (my sanity) until i gave in and played Shrek once again. When she got Shrek 2 i thought it would be a good thing, how wrong i was, That far far away idol crap oh lord. It was so so fun at first dancing with her singing the songs her laughing, but watching that for um idk the 100th time….it does something to a person. It changes you. I could no longer listen to those songs. I was going insane and my baby sister had absolutely no idea. I moved out when she was 4 years old and i have (nor will i ever) watch Shrek again. She is now 10 years old and her new obsession is Puppies……………. Why couldn’t she like puppies when she was sleeping in my room with me.
