SERVICE DOG PSA

So today I tripped. Fell flat on my face, it was awful but ultimately harmless. My service dog, however, is trained to go get an adult if I have a seizure, and he assumed this was a seizure (were training him to do more to care for me, but we didn’t learn I had epilepsy until a year after we got him)

I went after him after I had dusten off my jeans and my ego, and I found him trying to get the attention of a very annoyed woman. She was swatting him away and telling him to go away. So I feel like I need to make this heads up

If a service dog without a person approaches you, it means the person is down and in need of help

Don’t get scared, don’t get annoyed, follow the dog! If it had been an emergency situation, I could have vomited and choked, I could have hit my head, I could have had so many things happen to me. We’re going to update his training so if the first person doesn’t cooperate, he moves on, but seriously guys. If what’s-his-face could understand that lassie wanted him to go to the well, you can figure out that a dog in a vest proclaiming it a service dog wants you to follow him

ok sorry to double reblog BUT I just looked him up and he does these fantastic videos where he breaks down HOW he actually mimics the other artists’ styles. Like for ed Sheeran, he explains how he brings his voice forward in the mouth, while Adam Levine sings in the back of the mouth, stuff like that. I am not that old, and I didn't have a smartphone until probably late high school. For most of my life, many if not most people were not walking around with a magic internet machine in their pocket that they pulled out and used constantly for everything.

Being a fan of a character that has nearly 100 years of writing, adaptations, and unhinged takes is not for the weak. The amount of Canon to wade through would make triathlon athletes weep. Every possible version of the character has been written at some point, from the stoic to the insane, which makes any nuisance almost impossible and any Stewart's of a certain take seem annoying at best.

Even worse when the interesting route to take, the singular way to write them in a new, interesting, and honestly true to the subtext way they were written for the better part of 50 years, is the one fucking way the Canon creators refuse to write is infuriating. Even more so when supposed "mainstream fans" of the character only enjoy the edgest, least interesting version of the character.

As I said, liking a 100 years old (or more) character is not for the weak.

And I would say their name but honestly, there's too many that fall into this pile than I care to admit. Tag your character and how old they are.
