Today is my fur baby Tubby Ted's 13th birthday! Had a rough start to the day though. CW: First he woke me up at 4am and ran to the front door, so naturally I assumed he needed to go potty... nope! He wanted to go for a car ride and was crying because we weren't getting in the car, also refused to move once we got to the car, eventually I just carried him back to the house. Then when it was time to wake up, I got him ready to go to petco so we could get him a treat for his birthday. Well at some point from the house to the car he somehow cut the benign tumor that is on his leg. He didn't feel it so he never cried out and I didn't notice it till I got him in the car and noticed his nether regions was completely covered in blood. I started to freak out because I thought he had peed blood I couldn't tell where it was coming from just that there was a lot of it. Scott drove us to an animal emergency hospital. They found the large laceration on his tumor and had to cauterize the wound, prescribed some antibiotics and some pain meds and sent us on our way. I'm glad it was nothing too serious, I was very scared and on the verge of tears. He's acting normal and appears to not be in pain. Gonna keep an eye on him for the next few days to make sure he takes it easy and doesn't cut it again. If he does open the wound will probably have to have the whole tumor removed... We ended the night with birthday treats at my parents house. Happy Father's Day to my dad! Had a fun time celebrating at Pirates Dinner Adventure, go blue crew! Highlight of the evening was a kid seeing me and getting excited "Dad! A pirate! Dad Dad look a pirate! Dad look look a pirate!" "Yes... she likes it here very much" 😂I did not come home with a new sword this time, they didn't really have much to look at like they usually do. I had a great time celebrating my 30th with my friends and family this weekend! We had dinner, played an escape game, went to a petting zoo, I got to hit a pinata, took a hard quiz that made my brain hurty, played Clue in the park, went to a cool bar The Cauldron, and ended the festivities at Round 1 with some Karaoke. I'm grateful to everyone that celebrated with me, I havent celebrated my birthday with friends and family other than my parents in many years, so this was truly special. I am in a new walk of life with new friends who are dear to me. I didn't realize just how much I needed to be surrounded by friends and have fun, it was a much needed break. I love all of you!
