And the thing is that could be really interesting and a fun way to adapt it. The problem is I don't trust these writers as far as I can throw them.

imagine if you will, a beautiful alternative reality where we got Akasha grooming Armand and the whole story was told alongside an adaptation of the story of The Vampire Armand

Imagine Akasha's argument that all men are rapists and abusers and murderers, presented to Armand, who was turned into a sex slave at the age of twelve. Imagine Akasha, who unbeknownst to Armand is also a perpetuator of sexual violence, convincing him that she is his saviour. Imagine if it happened all over again.
