There she goes, resulting to alcohol at another given event.
Truthfully, Thalia didnât plan on going. However, once she saw the open bar option and the opportunity to dress up, she decided why the fuck not? Things at home with Ruslan became a little better, but overall it was still the usual. She pretended as if nothing happened, he continued being patient with her. The only time she dropped her guard was when Katia needed her help. When it came to Lilyâs visit to discuss her father, she buried that shit ten feet deep in her feelings and refused to speak about it. Luckily, her sister and dogs were complete distraction. However, with Katia no longer being a buffer between them, they were back to normalâŚOr at least thatâs what she thought.Â
Chugging her drink, she laid it back onto the bar counter and gestured a wave for another round. She then looked down at her dress to smooth out any wrinkles and looked back up once Ruslan came into view. âHmmâŚYouâre brave for wearing white. Hopefully, a dumbass doesnât pour alcohol all over you.âÂ
When Katia visited, he welcomed her into his home, knowing that Thalia would want her near. They were sisters and he knew what it was like to have siblings. Even though he was hidden from most of them, he was close to his older brother once, and if he had been stronger, he would have kept their father from murdering him. He didnât tell Thalia any of this though. Instead, he set the table for three and prepared meals for three people. But with Katia gone, it was back to a different problem. He looked over at the fae and then covered his hand over his glass, signalling to the bartender that he didnât want another round.
âEven if someone does, their mistakes will look like a badge of honour.â He spoke somewhat cryptically, even though he knew that he was talking about bashing their face in if they did. Ruslan liked his outfit today and he wanted to impress Thalia.
