You never will be there for me like im there for other people I wallow in shame as I self deprecate for being so naive and pitiful I write, I talk, I sing, But verbally I am as stuck as a bat with no wings Making my fate sound beautiful is my duty, will you meet me half way If a knife ran through me I chase the kind of loyalty you’ll see in a bad rom-com series That gained popularity because others found it ‘endearing’  I can only take but so much, being in your clutch You squeeze, pull and tug and then ask why im all torn up This is all your doing even if its not right Because you never felt an ounce of sympathy in your damn life I have a common discernment but still let people like you in But you’re just another lesson Wrapped in omniscient

Splinters in my fingers. I pull them out to bleed yet knowing i'd heal from it. It's like Stepping into cement expecting it to stay wet, but I'm nothing like your ex girlfriend.  Plural? Or plurality, coming into reality. Conjuring up emotions, like BLM screaming  “FUCK POLICE BRUTALITY.” I’ll ask for someone, and get nobody in the end. So yes, let's only be friends. Pretend it never happened while you distort, challenge, and end it.
