byler realizing they haven’t picked up their teenage daughter from the backseat in years. they’ve both known it for a while and never thought the opportunity would come again to do so. so one night when they’re driving home they look to see what she’s doing and see her asleep after which they make eye contact with each other pull up into the drive way. Mike tries to pick her up, but he keeps slipping; by that point she’s already awake and smiling, but will and mike are so determined to do this one last time. Will comes over and helps support her other side and they’re walking like crap to the front door with her in their arms. when they’re driving finally get to the door, they’re struggling with the jays while their daughter is just giggling. once they finally get it open they’re shimmying down the hallway to her room, placing her in bed each kissing her on the forehead like normal.
