Walking around his home, ODELL caught some people walking in and greeted them accordingly, laughing when he heard Kirk’s question. “I mean shit, you not in the lord’s house so I think you good but don’t get too crazy.” He responded. He eyed the pie he set down on the table and knew that his contribution was going to cause some discussion that evening. “That’s the infamous koolaid pie? They finna get on you man.” 

“Niggas don’t listen anyway, I would know. I’m niggas. I’ll come back and bring a lil sign or sumn.” As the two made their way into the kitchen, he eyed the spread and looked down towards her. “I ain’t gone doubt ya if you throwing down like this, but I’ll let you know after I taste that mac.” He laughed as he grabbed a plate to get one started. “If people weren’t coming, I probably would’ve. I get on a roll its hard to stop.” 

After being able to smell the food for an hour now, ODELL ended his game of COD and then left the gaming room. He walked downstairs and rubbed his hands together on the way to the kitchen but he stopped by Gabi on the one, hooking his arm around her waist as he took her with him. “C’mon lil Ms. hostess, they know what to do. Let’s get into this food cause you ain’t did this before.” 

“I accept all gifts but I don’t necessarily need anything.” ODELL responded back. Tacos might not have been his favorite but he still planned on making a plate with a few of them on it. “Thank you, that means a lot to have people in my corner. I’m just itching to get back out there, I literally cannot wait.” He knew that asking her to style him was a good choice and her assurance only confirmed that. “I knew you had me covered. That’s what friends are for. But of course the cross earring was all me. So many people tried to tell me no, it looks weird or not cool and I just didn’t give two fucks. And you’re right it is my thing. As long as I like it, its cool.” 

“And I always will be. You don’t need to get me anything, I’m pretty content with life right now minus my injuries and stuff.” ODELL got the glass from the bartender and walked away from the area assuming she’d want to grab a plate soon. “Yeah I tore my ACL last season, people bounce back from it but its just a long road. If you could get me a new leg then maybe we can talk. But I will definitely let you know, sometimes I feel like these other stylists just do and say shit because its what they like not what I like. I’m too far in my career to be wearing shit I don’t like.” 

“Your happy nerve? Tell it to get in tune with your styling nerve because that’s what my question is about. Why pay a stranger to help me, when I can pay you.” Once at the bar, he asked for a glass of henny on the rocks and left it at that to start him off. “I am. Ain’t nothing beating food from the south either, I don’t care argue with ya auntie on ya mama side with the cooking elbow. But that’s good, I’m just happy you finally opening it up. I’m sending business there, just wait on it.” He said back. “Just been rehabbing my knee, I got a few endorsement shoots coming up which is what I need your eye for. I’m just focused on getting back on the field.” 

“Just like you? Nah that wasn’t her then.” He laughed. ODELL returned the hug to his friend and released her promptly after that. “I missed you too, I need your eye for something too but we’ll get to that later.” He started walking to the bar area and waved her over to follow while they talked. “I’m not a big taco person, don’t get me wrong I’ll eat them but they don’t get me excited. Had too many bad ones in life I think. You all ready for ya grand opening?” 

ODELL heard about the taco bar and was excited for that to come out. In the meantime, he mingled somewhat with some other people until he saw Kaylar nearby. He walked up to her and graced his arm around her shoulders. “I been looking for my best friend, she about your height, usually shorter without the heels. She’s about to open up a boutique soon, have you seen her?” He laughed. He stepped around to face her and adjusted his jacket. “On the real, I’m getting a drink. What you want?” | @killakay
