There’s a painful melancholy permeating this room, Izuku feels the moment he sits down. He’s not exactly sure why he’s finally here after all this time. Yes, he apprehends criminals, but no, he’s not a police officer - the trappings of jail and prisons are still unfamiliar to him, as is the glass screen that separates him now from the other half of the room.

It’s been nearly ten years since he last saw you, and as you make your way into the other half of the room he can’t reach, led in by two large men that seem too tense for handling a seemingly harmless woman such as yourself (especially in Quirk-neutralizing handcuffs), he can’t help but wonder how you’ve remained the same all these years and yet simultaneously completely changed. It’s almost amusing watching you - these men are supposedly here to keep you from hurting him, yourself or them, but from the confidence in your stride and the almost regal way you hold your head up high, one would think that you were simply allowing them to exist in your company.

Remorse is the last thing he senses from you as you sit down and face him head on. The first thing he sees is that imprisonment somehow hasn’t hardened your features at all - your face remains deceivingly gentle, almost angelic. Beautiful even, not unlike the day he first met you.

While Izuku is tongue-tied, you take the opportunity to speak first.
